Yes. I've got a fever with the badness. Also chills. My "dreams" are stiff visions of me in the core if a world, as some giant metal god. People from all eras have been trying to mine to my center, and collect my Ore. Then I wake briefly, brink some water, and it starts all over again.

Are you sure you don't mean dream instead of delusion in your OP? What you described seems more like a dream. And it's not particularly weird in comparison to my regular dreams.

So yesterday, I got home from work, with a cough. It got progressively worse. It was a wheezing cough, and flemmy hack before to long. I slept under 4 layers of blankets, and am highly delusional. I cannot seem to focus, or get real rest (after all the sleep, I'm sleepy as if I never went to bed).

I'm not one to see a doctor for just a flu, and this one is making me think I should (sadly, no health insurance to speak of). What have you done to cure your Plague doctor tree?

Also, I've been very delusional. I apprologise if this message makes NO sense. Cannot seem to focus.

Why does health insurance matter? Oh that's right, you must be living in America where they have no sensible public healthcare yet.

But yeah er don't worry about it. You'll get better. Several of my friends have got it, and I think I had it too, and it wasn't so bad. It wasn't even the worst flu I'd had.

It's just like the regular Flu. If you start feeling cold or shaky, get under some blankets, get some kind of hot beverage, and carry on what you're doing.

I caught the Flu, and started to feel it at about 10:00. I was freaking out, and felt like I was going to freeze to death. But my grandma offered me some tea, and I had about 2 cups during the whole thing. It went away at about 2:00 in the morning.

EDIT: Woah.. I wasn't having any LSD-type of dreams when I was sick.. You've got something else.

Probably shouldn't see a doctor if it's the flu unless you become dehydrated, they don't want swine flu patients to come in. Helps spread the disease.

Ya if you have the flu there isnt really anything a doctor can give you to get better. Just take cold medicine to make urself feel better and make sure you drink a lot (not alcohol) and sleep until that shit goes away. As long as ur not a poor mexican child you wont die.

Sleep, drink lots of water, visit a doctor (while wearing a medical mask if possible) and get a test to ascertain if you have the H1N1 virus; if so, you'll need to stay away from others for a bit longer than the normal flu, because you're contagious for roughly 48 hours after beating the fever.

I've been doing bed rest nearly non stop, and think I'm improving. It hasn't been the funnest Flu, and I could see how it generated some worry. But I'm getting better. The room isn't spinning nearly as fast as when I started this thread. My fever isn't cooking my brain, and my ore is safe.

GARLIC. Eat whole garlic cloves. When I got the flu a few months ago, I took 2-4 cloves a day and was over it in 3 days.

And lots of fluids, of course.

Why do you assume the vaccine is worth the risk?

It's been rushed out the door without enough testing, it's combating an illness that has a <0.1% fatality rate, and the last widely distributed Swine Flu vaccine killed 25 times more people than the virus itself did.

Don't go to the doctors, they'll want nothing to do with you considering the flu. Though they do home visits in emergency situations.

I've never had the flu so I can't give you any advice.

i'm just coming to the last day of "quarantine" i swear i've had man flu and felt worse than this but i suppose it hits people differently....one thing i will say though is it makes you appreciate being able to do whatever you want whenever you want because being locked away for a few days drove me nuts...
