I think I'm psychic?

Alright Escapists, time to put your possible merit of deduction to use!

For my whole life, I've always had dreams. I know we've all had whimsical dreams, but the dreams I have are incredibly real, no unicorns or Chuck Norris and me team ups to beat Darth Vader and gain access to the golden land of ice cream and sex. They're really real. Okay so here's how it goes:

Before I wake up in the morning I get a sorta "screenshot" of something that will happen later in that day. It's nothing like me tripping or finding a $20 or the winning lotto numbers, just some idle task I'm doing in class.

It's happened everyday of my life and I've only now decided to take this a little more seriously. I'm Christian, and people who are believed to see the future are possibly "possessed" so I just want to know if I'm really precognetic, my brain is performing a series of equations and events based on random data and determining he most likely course of my day like fate, if I'm actually seein Fate, or it's just coincidence.

Again, really need the input please. Thank you

This does happen to me, sort of. But not every day.
If you remember it, and, for example, write it down, then it happens, you are.
If it happens, and you then remember yourself seeing it when you woke up, you are not, it's just your mind playing tricks. Deja vu it's called. That's what happens to me.
Btw, if you are psychic, AWESOME!

This is what is happening:
1. You think you will do something, and therefore you will do it. You may also be misinterpreting the content of your dreams, and changing your remembrance of the dream to what happened that day
2. You're psychic. Congratulations on breaking reality.

It's called "Deja Vu" (sorry, cba accents), it's very common an is caused by your brain thinking it has seen something before, even though it hasn't. It may even generate false memories to go with it.

If you draw your screenshot, and it then happens and you can pull it out and point at it, you're psychic, otherwise, don't get too psyched up.

My guess is that you don't remember your dreams quite as well as you think you do (they are forgotten very quickly). When an even in the day shows up that vaguely appears like in your dream, you then "remember" it in the way that makes it appears that this happened in your dream. that would be my guess anyway. A similar thing happened to me a few times, and I believe it was classified as deja vu.

Nopony can see to the future, other than with information from already known facts that help predict something that is likely to occur.

Coincidences. Yes.

What kind of things do u see? If its just things like u being in maths class on the day u have maths then no. The brain is a very powerfull computer, chances are ur jst accurately guessing whats gonna happen later on in the day thanks to previous experiences

If you want advice from the Christian standpoint, try reading the on gifts of the spirit listed in the New Testament. One of them is prophecy and another the gift of knowledge. There are different views on this, I'll leave you to decide where you stand and whether you believe it's relevant to you/in today's times. Wiki link for quick run downs of popular beliefs: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Spiritual_gift. Just don't get all caught up in the gift, remember the giver and realize that it doesn't make you "special" to the point of being better than others.

Sounds more like you have really boring dreams to be honest.

I think you're having dreams that are just vague enough that after something happens you can look back and see enough similarity to think that you "predicted" it.

Your brain is thinking you thought or saw something before you actually did, but you didn't.

Here's how it works:

*1. Your brain creates a picture*
2. Go about your day
3. You do something similar to said picture

Except that the step inside asterisks never happened, your brain just thinks you've had the experience before. You're making up the memory. Your brain/you're fooling yourself. It's pretty confusing when I say it, but I'm sure if you look up something like deja vu you'll find more information.

I used to be alot like "JESUS CHRIST IT'S THE TENTH DAMNED TIME I'VE HAD DEJA VU TODAY" but it's all mental and if you think about it enough (like telling yourself it's all made up) it'll be alot less common. Give it time.

Alternatively you can do what Bronkhal *butcher name* suggests, which is good advice as well. He even came out of lurking for a year and half.

If you genuinely want to take this seriously, start writing down exactly what you 'see', in as much detail as possible as soon as you wake up.

Then once you've experienced your vision describe your experience in as much detail as possible on a different piece of paper.

Then compare the two, chances are you'll find that they don't really matchup all that much, or that the stuff that you can remember about the vision is actually incredibly vague so that you were bound to hit something similar to it.

Sorry, if that wasn't the answer you were hoping for, but there you go. I hope it helps, and I'd love to hear the results if my prediciton turns out to be wrong.

Best of luck.

I get that often too, although it's very often meaningless details.

I've never paid any attention to it, because I'm entirely certain that nobody can see into the future.

Most likely, it's just a scene that closely resembles a dream you had and since you can't remember your dream so well (they're quickly forgotten), you simply convince yourself that's what you saw in the dream.

No, you're probably not psychic or possessed. You have cases of Deja Vu, which is nothing more then your brain tricking itself. If you are remembering dreams, then they're probably just vague enough for your brain to think its the same situation.
