I've been followed a couple of times, the funniest was in a 99p shop because I was picking up the zippo's and having a play, as you do. While the security guy was talking to me I saw a guy pick up about 4 and walk out, didn't say anything, thought it served the incompotent guy right.

Yeah, because I'm 15 and my oh-so-intelligent peers think it's a laugh to steal stuff from stores and burn things.

See, this is why I don't like going to the mall.

I was followed in a book store once (that was the only day of the week i shaved and was not in black). I like to play the game of hide and seek. The guard would watch me but not stalk me, just make sure you are never seen in the same area twice. the guard will get annoyed and you can have fun.

At least he didn't make you pay with your blood.

Followed? Not that I remember...

But everytime I carry my rucksack with me I get asked to "please open it for a second". It's annoying and they actually aren't even allowed to do that (or better said I'd be able to refuse and walk away) but meh, if they like seeing which books I carry around with me let them.
How tempted have you been to put crazy stuff in there? Like Halloween props!!! Just think about it, they open the bag and there's a fake arm or head just sitting there. The more realistic, the better. That'd be funny...though you might get sued..
Interesting, I have never thought about this. I may try it one day.
I don't think they can sue me if they asked me to open it in the first place. And I'm Austrian, we are mostly too lazy to bother with lawsuits.

Thankfully I tend to get around unnoticed so I don't get followed. I even manage to scare the shit out of people sometimes when I just appear out of nowhere.

That's a fun story lol.

I can't seem to come up with something comparable, however. So I'll leave it at that.

Me and my little brother have occasionally been followed around two shops near where I live. The strangest part was the two workers who would follow us around were both Asian, one had a far-Eastern Asian (who I don't see in the shop these days) in one store and the other a more middle-Eastern Asian.

Well, you see, I'm a teenage male, so all security guards immediately hate me. Yes, that has happened.

On my own I look quite harmless. I mean I wear a lot of black, but I don't look like an industrial metalhead or anything. It depends on who I'm with. Once I walked into a supermarket to buy dust masks with a bunch of Anonymous members for a Scientology flash raid, and we certainly caught the attention of a lot of people, including the two security guards there. And when I go into stores with some of my other friends, who are mostly teenage boys, we do sometimes get followed or at least watched closely, because we're loud, rowdy and teenagers. Which is fair enough.

Well, on my last day in Paris, my friends and I decided to go to a restaurant called "Flunch." The manager went on about how "you Americans always try to scam the nice people of France out of everything we've got." He followed us while we got out food and kept an eye on us while we ate. He even made sure we were out of the place before he went back to his duties.
You should have replied "If it weren't for "us Americans" you'd all be under Nazi rule right now."
And you would of come off as a complete brat and not an innocent person being unfairly discriminated against.

Yes! hahah oh man I loved it whenever I used to go into PC world the security guard would always follow me around. I used to make a habit of playing hide and seek and come out at unexpected places and then say "alright mate" or "heya" and smile in a sweet/friendly manner. Always used to catch them out.
