I think they are following me.

Well yes, In Santiago Chile, while I was there to see a football match between Boca Juniors and Colo Colo long time ago, so two friends and me went to the supermarket, dressed with our Boca Junior's jerseys, and we were not only followed, but on the exit, I was interrogated by one of the security guards, and I was asked to never return to the supermarket again, I felt really angry since I just went there to get coke and candy which I paid.

They were probably looking at that big, slimy creature behind you that ate people.

No.

And that security guard seem to have done a pretty poor job of stalking you since you accidentally hit him.

I once waited in an electronics store for a friend and was going around aimlessly while watching in every direction if said friend had arrived...

...when i thought about it afterwards it was completely obvious and reasonable that an employee nearby followed me around until i left the store.

Eh, that's stupid. I thought Tesco had those little beep beep things when you walk out without paying?
Anyway, they shouldn't be judging by looks, but I guess it's second nature to them.
Never happened to me, but I do look quite sweet and innocent.

It would piss the guy off. That's what matters.
Haha, I'll have to take your word for it because I prefer the idea of making him look like an idiot.

He still looks like an idiot, going into a blind rage. If he mentions what you said, just look confused and ask him what he's talking about. Blind rage and insanity. Humiliating.
I...Guess? Although I still prefer the idea of looking like a victim doing nothing nasty so he looks ignorant.

If you aren't up to anything, than being followed shouldn't be a bother. However, it is when you are outside a commercial establishment and you have people following, that is when there is time to worry. I swear I have more helicopter fly overs at my house than is justifiably reasonable.

Nah.

I look so safe and harmless, I wouldn't be surprised if people seeing me in a store actually felt encouraged to come in and shop.

"Well, if he can shop there safely, I'm sure not in any danger!"

I'm very unassuming, so people usually leave me alone. Even as a kid I had the vibe about this kid wouldn't take anything.

No offense, but if you don't want people to think you look like a criminal, don't look like a criminal. All black and a trench coat? Sorry, but people usually associate both of those with a crime about to happen... yeah it's silly, but you can see my point, right?

I don't get followed around by security... ever. Once this security guard asked me where my parents were because it was after 7:00 on a Friday and I believe I was 14 at the time... and I was also about 3 feet away from my parents.

I'm sure I have been. I think it was an undercover mall-cop or something. Everywhere I went I saw the same guy >.> He wasn't 'watching me' but he was definitely in the same stores as I was and always near where I was. Maybe he was just trying to pick my pocket or something. I wasn't very gothed out that day either. I believe I was wearing Tripp pants but I haven't worn them with chains in many, many months. I was wearing an Iron Maiden T and had my hair tied back. No make-ups, fire, blood, handcuffs or, dead animals on my person at all

As a long haired male that wears a trenchcoat most of the time, I've had my fair share of security following me around. Sometimes I take security tags and leg it, just to piss them off.

A couple of years back I got blamed for shoplifting. It would have been fine if the security guard had been even the TINIEST BIT PROFESSIONAL. I mean, the do have to check up on people if they're suspicious and that's okay, except that the guard who came to talk to me made sure everyone in that part of the store heard what she was accusing me of. And when she eventually figured out that I hadn't stolen anything, she just mumbled something angrily and told me to leave. An apology would have been nice. But I guess teenage girls who wear combat boots, Marilyn Manson shirts and eyeliner are second class citizens.

after repeatedly using stanley knives at home and in a class as school, upon walking into a supermarket and seeing one i said "hey look! a stanley knife"... turns out it was being used to unpack stuff and the guy yelled at me then followed me around the store until i left...

it was annoying...
