Cause why am I paying money for self-expression others can willfully ignore? Why am I grinding away playing the game for customization unlocks people can choose not to see?Zhukov said:So?DudeistBelieve said:No.
You're spending money and in some cases effort to customize a character to look a certain way, the idea being not just for your own self but to express yourself.
You've expressed yourself (by buying a skin, very impressive). I've looked upon your work of self expression and decided it's ugly as fuck. Why shouldn't I be able to decline to look at it further?
Hell, it's not like you'd even know.
Also, in your example, you are NOT seeing my skin AND THEN ignoring me. You're ignoring the skin outright.
And I would know from the start, because I'd likely have the same option to ignore skins as well, so I'd know going in some people are going to ignore the skins there by making them really worthless. At that point I may use the ones I like I happen to unlock passively but grinding for something I really think looks cool or spending actual hard earn dollars on? Forget it.
And also brah, why the hell are you mocking the idea of spending actual money on skins? I spend nearly 40 a week working in a God damn uniform with a tie, in the few breif moments I do get to play an online (which may or may not double as socializing, don't judge not all of us are plentiful with friends) I want my little avatar thing to have some tiny part of myself out there, even if it's just spending enough money on a GTAV Shark Card so I can get my little dude or gal to to look like an evil clown or some shit. Sometimes thats just changing the Archer character in a MOBA to look like a hot nurse, but thats only because thats what the game limits me to. It's not like every game as a god damn Create-A-Wrestler mode ala WWE 2K16
