I want to be gently introduced to character action games. What's the best one to start with? PC only

Depends on the game. Bayo 1 & 2 will feel a bit floaty of you're used to the old DMCs or Ninja Gaiden. but once you get used to it, you won't notice much difference.
Well, I'm mostly used to the way Souls games, Souls-likes, and Monster Hunter handle combat, so I reckon the transition is going to be even tougher for me.

I recommend spending extra time in the training room whenever your in a loading screen.
That's going to be a tad problematic because loading on my PC takes about 5 seconds tops. Is there no other way to practice your moves?

That explains it. You'll transition fine in no time or two.

Unfortunately, no. Unlike DmC (2013) there is no separate training room, unless you're at the shop trying new moves before you buy them. Hopefully, Bayonetta 3 will take a cue from Ninja Theory and do that. DMC5 is going to have it.
