Hmmm, I'm trying to find what's wrong with the graphics but honestly they look pretty damn good. I see no inconsistencies with any of the graphics or animations. I even think it looks better then Crysis, but then that's just my opinion. And so you obviously have issues with graphics, alright that's cool but I really think you shouldn't judge the game the trolls and care about what kids are saying on Youtube. There's always trolls on youtube and these ones are just jumping on Battlefield bandwagon. Their opinion means jack, just ignore them.

Much like Crysis 2 the graphics and the series are what got the game to be recognized before the gameplay was really looked at.
I don't understand how the graphic quality can be disputed if this amount of work and detail have been put into them. If you say it looks out of place then that falls into the opinion category.
since you mentioned it, Crysis 2 had your character placed into a similarly graphically intensive environment wearing a space-age nanosuit, and yet the Battlefield soldiers looks out of place?
not saying anything about the concept of either games art direction other then
New York + Nanosuit = good; Middle East + normal soldier = bad?
(They're still working in elements from the FIFA engine to work with character movement, animations and crouching last I heard)

Those graphics look pretty darn good. Well... except for the fact that the whole thing is made of refined grey. Grey people, grey buildings, grey explosion, grey gun. Hell, even the sky has been desaturated to the point of near-greyness.
But at least it's a sharp and well animated flavour of grey.
As for the games in question... meh. I can't get excited about either of them. On the one hand we have Call of Duty 2011 and on the other we have Battlefield: I Want to sell like CoD. Oh yay. Colour me giddy with sarcastic anticipation.

I'm just wondering why everyone is buying in to this Call of Duty vs Battlefield crap. That EA guy turned it into some sort of highlander-esque competition. I played both and enjoy them for different reasons, but now the closer these games get to release, the more antagonism I see from both sides.

Battlefield games being trashed on by an obvious Halo fan. It doesn't take much to realize that he might be bashing. Aesthetics might be an issue for some, but graphically (which is where the op is bringing up flaws) this game hits a high note. Great visuals + all of the care for sound that the BF series is known for = a good game in my book.
