Math. My academic arch-nemesis. Some of this stuff strikes me as utterly useless in almost anything except for very specific applications that the vast majority of people will never come across. Ever.

Am I only who got this?

He's a teacher, he wouldn't go to school on Sundays due to the fact schools are not open on sundays.
School's usually aren't open on Saturdays, either...
Yeah I guess, but it also depends on what country your in.

As a taster, how about Euler's Identity:
Wait a minute, that last equation doesn't make any sense! Cause there's no formula where the end result would be -1!
i is the square root of -1, not a variable

e isn't a variable either, it's a constant approximately equal to 2.718
But the square root of -1 is an impossible number! So once again, that is a virtually impossible equation!

That's really not worthy of hitting someone over, if he walked X amount of miles, he walked X amount of miles.

Well, hanging out with friends and tossing around insane mathematical formulas is fun! Pool uses Geometry, Algebra is a good way to kill someone, etc. etc.

The answer is "Not enough Information", but it's one of the stupidest questions I've heard. They serve no relevant purpose other than to confuse you. When you're given a problem to do, you're going to assume there's an answer, not that there isn't. Especially if you attended AP classes, they always preached that there was always an answer and, if you don't find it, analyze the question. Great advice. >:/

Someone rubbed out the measurements on a triangle in my textbook, and the answer. No, they didn't cross it out, they literally rubbed it out. Don't ask me how they did it, there was a just a huge white blur over the answer and measurements.

It's a rather annoying question, but it is hardly the teachers fault, and he at least tried to steer you towards the outside the box solution. The fact that you thought it was a nonsense question shows that, "You're over thinking it" is a pretty accurate and useful bit of information so...the correct answer for you is, "Anger Management".

Depends on how far he walked on Saturday. If he walked 500 miles, then he would walk 500 more.

That's easy to solve. A simple pencil eraser is a nemesis to the old text-books. You could really mess up the day of a latter student with less than a minutes worth of diiligence on your part.

no no. thats how many roads must a man walk down?
No no, that's how many licks to the center of a Tootsie Roll Pop.
My God man I think you've got it! We'll Make millions! You have figured out the Ultimate Question to the Ultimate Answer of Life, the Universe and Everything! "How Many Licks does it take to get to the center of a tootsie roll pop? 42! Brilliant!

I thought thats why its i instead of any other letter because it stands for imaginary.

Just because the number i is imaginary doesn't mean it can't be manipulated in equations. The reason Euler's identity is so useful is because the equation basically means that e^(i*an angle) IS cosine of the angle (measured in radians of course).

This allows mathematicians to again manipulate this identity to solve previously unsolvable problems.
