i got you present:Ando85 said:Is anyone else sort of annoyed about all these new internet terms that have risen up recently? Butthurt, fake and gay, umad, cool story bro, over 9000, taking an arrow to the knee, etc. I think they are over used all across the interwebs and for some reason or other they seem to irritate me to no end.
I can't agree more with "the cake is lie" one, My friend uses it too much and starts spouting crap about it every time I mention cake. I love cake, It's a damn good food.neonsword13-ops said:I, for one, enjoy memes.
They are quite hilarious when used in the right context.
Although, "The Cake is a lie" is the only one that's been done to death for me. I will give you a freaking companion cube if it will get you to shut up about nonexistent delicacies.
While I've seen that picture before, it ever fails to make me laugh.Glademaster said:![]()
It think that says it all. I don't care about all these memes few of those are new and the best thing to do is just ignore them making threads about them will just bring in people using the memes to annoy you and accomplish nothing.
It's not about making you laugh it's about in this context showing that memes are here to stay and will not be going anywhere even memes based on memes. If it makes you laugh or not I don't care I didn't bring it up for lulz.Valanthe said:While I've seen that picture before, it ever fails to make me laugh.Glademaster said:![]()

On topic though, I used to get butthurt about the perpetuation of memes, but honestly I can't be bothered to even care these days, Maybe I grew up, maybe my care meter burnt out.
Apathy or maturity, you decide.
Well I was being sarcasticsmv1172 said:Really? You lament the existence of the internet spread sayings and yet utilize the internet spread term of interwebs... that's like the kid who says punk has sold out while championing blink 182.
umad and over 9000 are pretty old.Ando85 said:Is anyone else sort of annoyed about all these new internet terms that have risen up recently? It should die out soon though. Just like Portal 2's SPAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAACE!! meme. I haven't heard anyone use that in a while.
I don't hate memes, in fact I love most of them. There are just some that I just don't find very funny after a while.
