Wait it out. The servers are apparently busy, so they should come back online when they're NOT busy.supagama said:tried to run tf2 on my mac
day 1- worked fine
day 2-today- steam servers are busy, i have literally tried every way to run it again.
So my challenge is this, make it run, the prize: 20 dollars, a cookie, and a hug
(quote me so i can respond)
Well, if the servers are busy, that could be your problem right there. Why not try waiting a day or two and then seeing if you can get it to work?supagama said:tried to run tf2 on my mac

Beyond just waiting for the steam servers to stop being busy, I can't think of a solution. If you feel that it's a problem with your computer then could you provide me with more information? If it's not a problem with your computer or local network then there isn't anything you can do besides waiting or calling Steam's tech support.supagama said:tried to run tf2 on my mac

mmmmmmmmmmmmm try againJiefu said:1. Go to your Steam library. Do the Mac equivalent of right clicking, and click on Properties. Click over to Local Files, and select "Verify Integrity of Game Cache...". Allow that process to run. This will allow you to rule out possible corruption of the game files, be it by a botched update or Gabe sitting on your hard drive. Try again. If it still fails to run, proceed to Step 2.
2. Step 1 will take some time, giving Valve a chance to knock Gabe off of the Steam authentication servers. Usually, waiting 1-180 minutes will give the servers enough time to recover from Gabe's mass and accept your request, allowing you to launch the game. As you likely have guessed, if this fails, proceed to the next step (this helpful tip WILL NEVER APPEAR AGAIN).
3. Exit and restart Steam. Try again.
4. Wait an entire day. (Warning: The following fixes are less reliable and more time consuming)
5. Seek out the Steam Support forums/forms (https://support.steampowered.com/).
6. Mac-right-click on TF2 in your game list and select "Delete Local Content...", then re-download it. If these six steps don't fix it, then the issue isn't with your installation. Begin trying TF2 on different networks and other computers to try to rule out layers, and then fiddle with your own network. At this point, Steam support is your only real recourse.
I should also note that Steps 1-3 are the basic Steam troubleshooting options.
Give the side of your computer a quick slap. Then reboot. If it still doesn't work, rest your router.supagama said:tried to run tf2 on my mac
