....so years and years back, while at an arcade in Fort Collins, CO I stumbled upon an arcade game called "Savage Quest" that let you play as a mother Tyrannosaurus in a side-scrolling beat-em-up (of sorts) as she rampaged around killing and feeding on other dinosaurs to keep her "hunger meter" full.

I was astounded and played the game every time we went to the arcade. But one day I came back and it was gone, replaced by a cabinet of some stupid Deer Hunting game. I was devastated and for years and years I tried to find that game again just to play it one more time, but to no avail. So, recently I was reminded of it and looked it up online and found that there was a rumor from waaay back about a Dreamcast port of the game that never came to fruition.

I would KILL to see this game re-released on Xbox Live or PSN as an arcade title. But sadly this will most likely NEVER happen. :(

So, fellow escapists do you have any favorite long forgotten Arcade (or otherwise) games that you wish you could play again?

On a side note, I would love to see the "Jurassic Park: Lost World" lightgun game also released on XBL or PSN as well. :)

I always wanted to find another Baby Pac-Man arcade game. I think there were about 10,000 made so it was pretty rare to find. It was a standard Pac game until you went into the chutes on the side where it went to an actual Pinball machine. Basically it was a 2 for 1 deal which was great for kids with little money. We had one at the arcade in the mall when I was a kid and used to play it all the time.

It could be redone as an Arcade game with the pinball section replicated with video game style pinball, but I don't think it was an actual NAMCO game and was released by Midway without permission so it'll never get done.

Castlevania III - Dracula's Curse. Used to play it all the time with my cousin and it is still one my favorites in the series. Too bad he selled his NES games several years ago and my own NES is also broken. It is available on the Wii Virtual Console but I don't own Wii myself. I admit I've played it on emulator but nothing beats the feeling of playing it with the real NES controller

Starcraft. That game pretty much made my childhood, but my copy got mangled sometime in between now and then, and I haven't been able to buy a new one as of yet.

Tomba! The company who made it have shut down, so it won't be released on PSN and when I looked on ebay, they were a stupidly high price.

Bomberman for the 64. The remake was just morbidly lame. It was THE game of saturday morning friend competitions.

That or this amazing arcade game, the name escapes me, where you played as a sea monster hunter, traveling the world killing famous sea monsters, like krakens and sea serpents and giant shark monsters, with a harpoon gun. Oh, that was just so cool...

Starfox 64 - Lylatwars
Used to play that game to death: And it was awesome!
Then decided to sell it for some other new N64 game I don't remember: A stupid decision. At least there is the Wii-Shop now so I can get a copy soon enough...

I don't know if anyone here has heard of Elroy Goes Bugzerk, Elroy Hits The Pavement, or Iz and Auggie Escape from Dimension Q, but ever since my Mac OS 9 broke down, I haven't been able to play them since.

You already own a copy, why not just download it?
True enough. I might as well, I mean, I paid for it, and it's not like I was every really into playing online. Seriously, I think trying to play over battlenet would be more a source of comedy than any actual attempt at winning for me.

Flying Heroes. I had it on my old computer and it was amazing. If I could revisit it now, I'd play endless deathmatch and campaign games, flying around on giant birds, magic carpets, in zeppelins and on flying fucking dragons.

Dear god, it was awesome. Unfortunately, I wouldn't be able to find it anywhere now.

I remember this game I had rented for SNES years ago called S.O.S., was quite challenging, and I'd like to find an original copy of it again.

The Simpsons arcade game, but with a condition...I wish I could play it again for the first time.

I played the hell out of that game when it was new, but several years later I found it at an arcade in New Hampshire, and I played it again thinking it would be great, and it just wasn't as much fun. Like, I'd wanted nothing more than for it to get ported to a console, but after that last attempt, I realized I didn't care anymore.
