If it is over £10.
If it is not on PC.
And most recently, if the graphics are overdone.
You might very well be the only person I've ever seen to say "The graphics in ______ game are too good. I wont' play it."

OT: I don't really have a barometer for this sort of thing. If it doesn't look good? I'm not sure what to say.
Yes I know. I seem to have accidentally started an on going flame war about it on another thread.

If it has motion controls.
I refuse to buy games with motion controls.
Waste of time and I can't get immersed into them.
Flower's pretty immersive, but I suppose an opinion is an opinion.

Check it out though if you havn't already heard of, and been unimpressed by it.

Hmm... How much motion control is involved?

Yep, I'm all over that thread. To each their own though.

It has a word meaning something similair to a clan, with a 's' between the stem and the suffix, and a three letter given name which is also the first and last part of the name of a percussion instrument. Not neccessarily in that order.

If it has bad DRM. Simple :)
shit, this. I couldn't think of anything earlier, but this. All of this.
So you are. Hello again.

OT I thought of some more:

If it's made by Ubisoft.
Often but not always if it lacks character customisation.

If you have to play it for x amount of hours before it gets good.Seriously? If I'm not enjoying myself within the first 1-2 hours then it's getting no more of my time

If the single player is gimped in favour of online multiplayer.RDR is proof that games can have both good single and multiplayer

If Yahtzee likes it.
Why wouldn't you by a game just cause he likes it? if someone likes a game wouldn't you at least consider the recommendation?
Kinda meant it as a joke, i do take his and other peoples opinions/recommendations in consideration.
Main reason why i visit this forum etc.

So to make amends, my serious answer:

If the pricetag does'nt fit the content, then i will not buy a game.
I want my bang for my buck.

You control the petals direction with the six axis, every other button is acceleration, and when you let go of buttons you just gently drift.

Flower's arguably not really a game, so it would be presumptious of me to think you'll enjoy it as a gaming experience, but I know a few people have enjoyed it none the less.

Me included. =P

Doesn't sound bad that bad. I'm talking about things like Natal and the Wii. I don't enjoy games like that at all.
If it's just gently using the six axis then that's fine, but flailing ruins the experience for me.

I'll never buy a game if it is lacking a good story that is effectively linked to gameplay.
