Thanks to Joe Posnanski's blog, I found a link to a rather interesting little application that uses statistical analysis on word choice and writing style to find out which famous writer one most writes similar to. For kicks, I ran some Escapist editors through it. (If I had something of my own of a few paragraphs to write, I'd run myself too.)
John Funk writes like Dan Brown.
Yahtzee writes like Cory Doctorow.
Shamus also writes like Dan Brown.
Andy Chalk writes like Cory Doctorow as well.
Steve Butts scores Doctorow.
Lauren Admire writes like: H.P. Lovecraft.
Susan Arendt gets Arthur C. Clarke.
Alexander Macris is most like David Foster Wallace.
And Russ Pitts is channeling: Cory Doctorow.
There you have it. A pointless exercise in pointlessness. And for a little bit more fun, I'm going to run this very post through this now.
Cory Doctorow! Is that a fancy way of saying I talk too much on the internet?
