This is more directed towards students, or former, students of the International Baccalaureate educational program, but if you have an idea, feel free to contribute!

Creativity Action Service (CAS) is an aspect of the educational program, International Baccalaureate (IB) and is required if you wish to pass the program. To complete CAS, you must do things which fall under the category of Creativity Action Service, such as joining a sports team, volunteering, or learning a new instroment, respectedly. However, you must PUSH yourself. If you took soccer lessons, then teach them. If you don't know how to play the piano, learn to, etc.

In short, What would you suggest doing for this program? If you have taken this program, what have you done? I've always been a bit on the shy side, so this is a bit of a hard thing to do, and I'm at a bit of a loss as to what to do.

Any help would be very much appreciated, thank you.

Well, as an IB graduate myself, I know exactly the stress you're feeling.

What filled up a great majority of my CAS hours was working with the American Cancer Society's Relay for Life. Which, after a two or three hour meeting at least once a month, and a whole bunch of fundraising, culminates in an 18 hour event in April. My friends and I made our own team and joined up with the committee. Of course, I don't know if the ACS operates outside the US, and I would wager it doesn't.

If you're not as outgoing, you could volunteer at a local library or behind the scenes for something.

My high school never offered IB, unfortunately; but to throw in my opinion, I'll always be an advocate for learning an instrument. It's something that's rewarding in and of itself, and it's a skill you'll have for the rest of your life. And provided you don't pick something loud (like my weapon of choice: trombone) it's something that can be practiced quietly on your own.

I'm in the IB program myself. I've been filling my hours with football practice and film club which fall into action and creativity respectively. Now that football season is over I'm probably going to work at the soup kitchen and join a few other clubs.

Something weird, or rather unique with easily measurable levels of success. Have you considered a Martial Art? Maybe Judo or Kendo?
