Hi there. I'd like to see a good movie where people use swords to slice each other up. Can you recommend any?
Highly recommend that as well, seriously, that fight was glorious (goryious?).MarsAtlas said:What JoJo said, the third act in Kill Bill Volume 1 will serves your needs very, very well.
I like it, but I've already seen it.Scarim Coral said:The Japanese movie Azumi has some slicing in it althought I don't think it is enough for you.
JoJo said:If I recall correctly, there's a lot of graphic slicing off of limbs and other body parts in Kill Bill, particularly the finale of Volume 1, is that the sort of thing you're looking for?
Definitely gonna rewatch it, but I'm looking for new stuff right now.MarsAtlas said:What JoJo said, the third act in Kill Bill Volume 1 will serves your needs very, very well.
How about the first Highlander? The series also has some good swordplay.Queen Michael said:I like it, but I've already seen it.Scarim Coral said:The Japanese movie Azumi has some slicing in it althought I don't think it is enough for you.

Remind's me of Roger Ebert's reflection on the scene.MarsAtlas said:Since somebody is probably gonna ask what you're talking about...Johnny Novgorod said:There's that one scene from the first Resident Evil movie, but it's not exactly swords...
Also, Umbrella Corporation has technology that can make super death lasers like that, but can't hire competent security. Genius!
"There is one neat effect when characters unwisely venture into a corridor and the door slams shut on them. Then a laser beam passes at head level, decapitating one. Another beam whizzes past at waist level, cutting the second in two while the others duck. A third laser pretends to be high but then switches to low, but the third character outsmarts it by jumping at the last minute. Then the fourth laser turns into a grid that dices its victim into pieces the size of a Big Mac. Since the grid is inescapable, what were the earlier lasers about? Does the corridor have a sense of humor?"
