So, Illusive = Deceptive.

Elusive = Evasive.

So, other than the fact that IM is a lying(kind of) & manipulative bastard, I had this thought that he's not the real leader of Cerberus.

That someone, some group, or some thing might be using him as a scape goat.

I say that the true leader is either the Spanish Inquisition, or Slender Man.

Your thoughts?

He's doesn't call himself the Illusive Man. It was a alliance nickname that kind of stuck. Jacob says it a the beginning of the game. Illusive also means hard to catch.

Shepard was in charge the entire time. Only he's from the future and also a reaper.

Illusive is derived from "illusion," which basically meant they couldn't find out if he was real or any information about him.

Very similar to "elusive".

It all makes sense now.

This is why Shepard kicks ass and doesn't afraid of anything.

He's Jed Barlett, I tell you. Former US President and all-around badass.

He even called God a son of a ***** and a feckless thug.

Well, to be overly 'srs'.

Illusive is a pun. The Illusive Man is very elusive, but using the word 'illusive' implies that he isn't even real. He's so elusive that he may not even exist.

Yeah, in the dev diaries, they said that they made his eyes like that so he would look more striking. It was successful, I have to say.
