If you could choose everything about a future partner, how would they act/look etc.

My personal ideal? I'm not too fussed aslong as he is intelligent and a nice guy. Sense of humour wouldn't hurt either. Oh and he'd have to have a certain love for gaming xD
Looks don't come into it. I don't care.
I'm your perfect guy. And my good looks are a bonus.

As Joey says: Hey...how you doin?

Why do you want to know?
You're the spitting image of some bird who went to my school.
She reminds me of that girl Mila Kunis from That 70's Show.
I think I ca handle looking like her xD I don't btw it's just that picture

and I doubt I am the bird that went to your school, unless you live in deepest darkest rural Somerset.

I really don't know. I tried to describe her, but it turns out I have been with three of those. Since all of them left me alone in one way or another... I guess I just have a sucky luck with girls.

Right. I guess I'm just going to have to be the guy who pisses everyone else off. Here goes.

I've already met my ideal partner.

It's been said already, by myself and someone else.
A little slow, but welcome to the club.

Seeing as you're obviously talking about your Fiance. I'm going to show her this thread and win you all kinds of brownie points.

So [http://www.escapistmagazine.com/forums/read/18.117550#2227925] it has. [http://www.escapistmagazine.com/forums/read/18.117550#2227997] We can't be the only ones though, surely?

In any case, it's a fun club, isn't it?

We're probably not the only ones, but the ones who can admit it or want too at least.

This isn't a fan club, but we do have a weekly Cake sale in the yard.

A cake sale is always good news. I like cake.

Anyway, to bring this back to something resembling on-topic, the weird thing is that my girlfriend isn't what I would have thought my ideal partner would be like. Her personality is very different to mine; the first thing one of my friends said to me after meeting her was about how different her and I are. Although, to be fair, she is a lot like me in some areas. I guess what it boils down to is that there's just enough difference between us to keep things interesting.

I have to say, I've really learned to appreciate the value of a stable relationship lately. A lot of my friends have gone through so much crazy stuff with their girlfriend(s); arguments, break-ups, whatever. It just makes me really grateful for what I have.

I can agree with that, too many differences or similarities can really stretch a couple and their wanting to be together.
If you however have balanced interests and hobbies, enough to keep you doing things together and some left over for a little bit of "me time" then it's great.

Stable relationships are a blast, I hate people who find drama fun, it's not and never has been.
I'm like you though Ana, very grateful for everything I have at the moment.

I think need about the same in a girl, fairly intelligent, good sense of humour except the gaming thing I don't really mind that but it would be a plus

Someone who can tolerate my incessant laziness, pedantry, passive-agressiveness, tendency to attempt to scientifically explain everything and general misanthropy.
Oh, and she'd have to be shorter than me.

That's not too much to ask, right?

I couldn't agree more with this. I've been with my girlfriend for over two years now, and it really pisses me off when people ask "doesn't it get boring?"

Why the hell would it be boring? Oh no, I have a really stable relationship with a girl I'm deeply in love with! Whatever shall I do?

No, I'm not bored. I'm happy.

I've never been asked that, but then again I try and steer well clear of Drama llamas.
Next time someone asks you that, you should inform them of your great plan to cook your significant other's pets to bring a little spice back to the relationship.
