Ideas for New Weapons

A white flag that is also a miniature nuclear missile launcher. The flag itself is a relatively thick piece of wood, with an irrelevant white material attached. Once a special knob is twisted at the bottom, a miniature nuke, with several extremely tiny nuclear payloads will then leave the hollowed out wooden part, fly into the air and fragment, then come down hard onto the enemy, raining shrapnel and nuclear warheads. Metalstorm rifles. (google them, they're nasty and quite real)

thing is aren't they elictricly operated? I can just see a soldier saying "I'm out pass me an energizer!"

They use an electric charge to fire yes, but firing 64,000 tiny razor-sharp rounds into an enemy at point blank range over a period of a second or so has to give some satisfaction.
The only downside to them is the reloading, these things don't have clips you replace the entire barrel assembly every time you empty one, and that's generally 4 salvoes.
In effect you won't run out of charge before you run out of rounds to fire.

This reminds me of a flechette from Honor Harrington; a flechette is basically a future shotgun that fires little blades. The main weapon in Honor Harrington, however, is a pulser; a handgun-sized weapon (the rifle sized one is called a pulse rifle) that fires darts faster than the speed of sound. The best part is, you can make the darts explode.

The average Ork weapon then, with the difference that the ork one will, improbable as it is, also fire bullets. Providing said ork believes the weapon should fire of course.

Seriously, I'd have thought it was more "invent clever new ways to kill people", rather than just suggestions along the line of "a gun that shoots X"

As an inventive new weapon, I'd have thought remote control cars with bombs on them would be pretty good.

As a new kinda gun, how about using electromagnets to launch projectiles at super high speed? targets not hit by the speed-of-sound bullet would be rather disorientated by the sonic boom =D

The rounds are essentially flechettes too, not normal bullets.
They aren't used much I believe, since clean kills aren't something this weapon does very well. Maiming is much more its thing.
