We then proceeded to kick all their arses. :D
You think that America is England's son? I always imagined it more like this:
England was actually America's older brother, they went everywhere together and did everything together. Eventually though America demanded more respect because it was obvious he was living in his older brother's shadow. So he left home in search of his own place. Then a hole in England's once full heart formed a relationship with France, the saucy girl next door in order to cope. Eventually they had a baby named Canada that usurped England's heart. America, pathetically jealous then proceeded to sneer at Canada despite his success. Canada was both a smart and athletic young lad yet America tricked him into thinking this was a horrible unnatural thing because of the changes he was going through. Now Canada sits in the corner having an identity crisis, especially after England and France's divorce and the following custody case while America, a cynical shell of his former self passive aggressively hates his brother.

Wow that was long, and the worst metaphor I've ever written.
All the members of the Commonwealth are England's children :D

Except New Zealand, because nobody cares about him.

yeah well I just hope you age well, the last thing we need is 'Merica putting you in a home and running the household. By the way who's the mom?
The characteristation can be both male and female. So mother/father England.

But it's okay, because you like to confuse American.

American is confused by everything though, especially the notion that America Jr. is better than him. Also check out the top comments on this video, makes a lot of sense regarding this discussion doesn't it? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qZOQnGJDanE

America would be a fat hall monitor and called fat by Europe even though statistics show Europe is already pretty pudgy and is getting bigger at a far more rapid pace than America.
Also, I'm creatively devoid as shown by the above example.

Great Britain is smart and friendly(-ish), but his smart ass remarks can be more hurtful than he intends them to be. He also has trouble understanding how freedom of speech works (like EVERYONE in his neighborhood).

Nobody talks to Australia too much, but he's a pretty fun guy when you get to know him (though his parents are weirdly strict in certain ways).

Mexico is the cholo that acts tough but is regularly beaten by his father. You'd think he'd have a heart of gold but he's only shown himself to be a self absorbed dick time and time again. Often steals that fat ass America's lunch.

Canada's passive aggressive. Yup.

China sells fake hall passes and often helps others start trouble to distract teachers and FAT 'MERCA FAT FAT from doing something about his activities. His confident demeanor hides his lacking confidence.

Russia was once a big bully but after his parents went broke during a holiday/Christmas decoration competition against America's parents, he started acting friendlier and claimed to have changed his ways. Now that his dad has a new job he's been acting more like his old self again...
