If Fallout 4 takes place on the East Coast again, what would you like to see done.

Fallout 3 was so much better than New Vegas. At least in 3 the bugs were bearable. The constant crashes every hour and falling through holes in the floor of the world were enough that I never enjoyed New Vegas. And 3 was way better at exploration. New Vegas made me feel trapped, because it was a canyon, and you were basically set on a certain path to get to the casino unless you were somehow able to get passed the deathclaws.

So basically, no bugs this time, and lots more exploration, like in 3. I dont much care where the location is, because it all looks the same as rubble anyways.

What I want? It's easy and it's honest, and sincerely not nor anyone should be ASKING for it because it's common sense that any game should NOT have it: bugs. And by that I mean, corrupted save file, freezing game, frame rate going down for no reason, and suddenly you give up playing because it became a hassle. I know, I know... Bethesda is not aware of such a concept as "unbroken product", after all both Fallout games and Skyrim share the same sort of problems, and I heard Oblivion also had them.
And hey, a LOT more dark humor like in the old Fallouts would be nice, and give us more options to build the chracter's face and stuff, like tribal tattoos etc

I WANT MY FALLOUT AUSTRALIA
I'd assume the nuclear war wiped out most of Australia's natural, murderous, blood thirsty wild life, thus resulting in a relativity peaceful nation where conflict is pretty small scale and uninteresting.
GWHAHAHAHA naive ignorant blissful fool-you have no idea the absolute horror of the Australian wilderness, the creatures here would feed and devour any and all radiation becoming godzilla sized monsters-if America can survive then the death world of Australia would hardly even notice your puny nukes :D
Australia? You mean the land where dinosaurs still roam with other prehistorical creatures? I mean, the Kangaroo is the dino version of a rat, and the there the "lizards" which downright dino that didn't get extinct lol Yeah, fallout would have mutated dinos o.o hahahahaha

I'd like to see a bit more agriculture and industry in the east coast. There were plenty of settlements in Washington DC but never did we learn how they kept themselves fed. No farming or hunting. Unless you count trapping lizards.

Oh, and there were like two dozen bandits for every civilian who produces something, which doesn't make ecological sense either.

I loved the feeling of desolation in Fallout 3, though it didn't make sense considering how much time had passed since the Great War. This is how Hiroshima looked in the weeks just after the bomb was dropped, but Hiroshima today is a vibrant city, and America's ecosystem should have regenerated by now.

No Fallout:Canada or Europe or anywhere but America please.

Stop suggesting it, it won't happen, and it shouldn't happen.

Just take the best bits from both 3 and New Vegas, let Obsidian do the writing, and do LOTS of beta testing and we should be gold.

No one is going to say it..?

Just me?

Not half assed like Skyrim and make the modding community fix their game, or hell even sometimes create their game.

If the Fallout universe were to go to Europe you'd encounter a number of difficulties:

Britain and most of Europe is far more densly populated than America, it is basically suburbia for as far as the eye can see. It's also pretty flat and we've all worked very hard over the past 1500 years to kill everything interesting in the environment so all the critters would have to be outlandish things. These aren't negatives; rather they're elements that would need to be considered and, particularly in terms of putting the scenery together, would make it harder and more time consuming to do as you'd have to create a lot of verticle structures that could be explored and come up with original creature models.

You could, however, explore new ideas. The division and elitism of the different nations of Europe (we all think we're exceptional) even whilst we all share such similar values. You could explore the issues of former empire; Commonwealth and immigration bring in people/resources that we need but all the while we resent them coming to our countries. You can explore all of those themes in a world that was trapped in the unprogressive 50s and where the tension was ratcheted up by the Americans whilst we stared down the nuclear barrel of the red menace. A world that started to metaphorically disintergrate due to its own hypocrisy before actually disintergrating due to its greed.

It's a fertile ground for ideas. Ideas that, I think, are in keeping with the Fallout theme.
Could have a reverse of the pilgrims, a group of americans sailing to UK to start a new life. Could still add weird creatures, after all with zoos and private collections you could still have scorpions. Even if a few came over with the americans. But you also have wild dogs, wolves, foxes and also the zoo animals and farms. Gang wise they can be based on punks, mods and rockers or even goths. Crime families similiar to the Krays. Then you have the poor/rich with royalty locked and protected while the poor have to fight. Also maybe have groups from Europe getting involoved. As for places to visit? St Pauls, Tower of London, Buckingham Palace, Parliment......loads of places to chose from. We have our underground system. As its the 50's, maybe the Germans want to start there plans again now a lot of europe is destroyed, or maybe the Russians want to try and conquer Europe like they wanted to after WW2?

Thing is, just because the first few were in america, doesnt mean thats the only place they can be set. They should branch out and invent a whole new part to the lore other wise it will just go stale. Yes you should stay true to the series, but also shouldnt be scared of doing something new. I even think they should have a spin off game. FO:London. An keep the numbered games like FO4 as a continuation of the america set game.

ARISE THREAD LONG SINCE DEAD!! HAUNT THY FORUMS FROM WHICH THOU WERT CREATED!
LoL.

I remember this thread from 2013. :p

Yeah, after skimming through my own OT, I still stand by what I wrote. FO4 should learn from Obsidian in the story department and make the East Coast more interesting. Because looking back, FO3 kinda sucked.

More important to me than anything is an expansive world. I wanna get lost out there, and not because I can't figure out the gawd damn metro system, seriously &#%$ that area.

I'll admit NV was pretty much better in every way over Fallout 3, but I still like Fallout 3 slightly more because of that mysterious lonely wasteland and its surreal ruin as far as the eye could see. NV was smaller and had a lot of the old Conveniently Impassable Mountain syndrome going on everywhere.
