Okay this is obviously a hypithetical but anyway im curious, do you agree with Andrew Ryan and would you go live in rapture? This would mean living there before everyone got all spliced up and crazy, and I want to see some interesting posts c'mon I know youve got them, dont be lazy and say something like "no theres no sunlight"

living before the plasmid war? yeah i could do that. rapture couldn't last long (no one cleaning up the place) but i could enjoy living there, i reckon it could be really incredible.

I don't know. I always felt that there would be some massive flaws in the ideological structure of Rapture. The idea of an entirely individualistic economy seems out of place in an environment where communal living is not only preferable, but necessary. Consider the physical make up of the city; a series of interconnected tubes and vents carefully arranged to prevent cataclysmic failure under one of the most hostile environments imaginable by man. If even one building owner became lazy and failed to perform regular maintenance, the entire city would slowly but inevitably flood.

This would imply a need for some sort of governing body, which would undermine the whole point of Ryan's vision. As a tourist attraction, sure. I wouldn't mind spending a few nights and dollars around the place. But as an independent free-market city state... I just wouldn't be able to get over my lingering doubts.

If I could live in Rapture, temporarily (like a few weeks vacation), before the plasmid chaos and be one of the few to survive and make it to a safe haven above the ocean waves, then yes. I think it would be a pretty neat exp. to live in the Ocean and see the giant squids and whales floating by. Then again, I'd be scared out of my wits about drowning and probably fairly claustrophobic since there isn't really any fresh air or sunshine. I can imagine a few people were probably going stir-crazy (cabin-fever) before they even started abusing plasmids, which turns my previous yes, into a no. lol

Regardless, the idea of it being a tourist attraction, or a permanent residence, needs A LOT of maintenance , upkeep and responsible non-corruptible people to help it along, and probably wouldn't be able to be maintained for a long-term period.
