If Lucasarts made a HD Remake of Star Wars Battlefront 1 +2..

If they made Battlefront 2, but with some changes, such as more squad commands, and flying vehicles on land maps, like Bespin platforms.

It seems like the kind of thing Lucasarts would do, rather than make Battlefront 3..

I'd buy it twice...
Battlefront 2 is still my favourite game, I still play it some times on my old PS2.
Btw, the dev that made the first two, Pandemic, has gone under, which is why there are no new ones.
Still, if I could get SW:BF2 with today's online support, it'd be all I needed.

I would buy it if I knew that they were going to give the AI an overhaul. Speaking as someone who played the games on my Live-less Xbox back in the day, it can get extremely frustrating trying to play with the incompetent bots. The Republic in particular seems to have brain-dead soldiers. The clone troopers are awfully fond of strategies like charging straight into a Droideka's blasters and blowing themselves up by throwing grenades at oncoming tanks.

Yeah by now I would think finding a developer to help do a straight up sequel would be a higher priority for Lucasarts than a remake of the older ones.

Probably would. BattleFront 2 was awesome, but there are some things that need to die in a fire.

and, of course, they could just get to making #3 already.

Too bad Free Radical went under, cancelling the development of Battlefront 3 coz from the leaked footage (still on youtube I believe) It would have be one of the best star wars games to date imo!
