If Nintendo built an actual Nintendo-themed amusement park, what would you like to see in it?

Why haven't Nintendo done this? They have millions around, it's a nice investment.
Amusement parks are more trouble than they are worth even when Uncle Walt was building them. Constant up keep, large staff, only operate a little out of each year, and need to renovate PLUS change and update and maintain interest. Land is still expensive (ESPECIALLY in japan) and the costs will eat at you lean or fat times. Plus outside of a few of them not named disney... how many stay open?

Better to license their stuff out to properties for temporary engagements and stuff, which they sorta do at local or shilling events.

Maybe they haven't done this yet because it would initiate all-out war between them and Disney...Nintendo could potentially make a few amusement parks that could seriously rival the Lands and Worlds of Disney after all (or...I think they could anyway). Also, like someone else said, upkeep and other such maintenance/staffing expenses would be an absolute *****.

I still want a Nintendo Amusement park though...

I got another idea in mind.

I remember seeing somewhere that apparently the mascots in Disneyland, in between hanging around with the kids that visited, also attend certain other duties like sweeping the roads or serving food.

I don't know if that's true or not, but wouldn't it be pretty cool as well as funny if a Nintendo theme park did something like that?

Imagine seeing Donkey Kong (or someone in a DK mascot costume) serving you pancakes, or seeing Luigi sweeping the park roads. Pretty mundane things, sure, but they would lead to some interesting photographs being taken.

F-Zero: A roller coaster that magnetically launches you through a twisted track.

Metroid: A ride that takes you along a track and lets you shoot at traditional enemies from the Metroid series with the occasional appearance of major enemies like Ridley and Mother Brain. Shooting power-ups to gain point multipliers.

Mario: A traditional wooden roller coaster (the up and down type) through a Mario-themed area would probably suffice.

Donkey Kong: A train ride through a jungle theme based on past DK games.

Zelda: Just a Zelda themed area that allows people to explore different areas from past Zelda games. They could occasionally do scavenger hunts I guess.

Star Fox: A motion simulator made to make it feel like you are in the midst of an intense battle. If they could turn this into a game as well that would be better.

Pokemon: Just have multiple Pokemon scattered throughout the park. Maybe offer a prize to people who can locate a vast majority of them and verify it through pictures and/or some other method of recording which ones they have seen.

Pikmin, WarioWare, Mario Party and similar games could act as the setting for the different arcades and game areas.

Mario Kart: A go kart track.

Kirby would dominate the theme of the main restaurant. There might be stands where other people can go in the other areas of the park, but the large restaurant most people will eat at should be Kirby themed.

Yeah, that's all I got for right now. I know I'm missing many different franchises, but I'm still trying to find a way to adequately capture games like Fire Emblem and Kid Icarus in a ride/attraction.

Aurora 313 towering over the entrance scaring the ever loving piss out of everyone.

Oh don't mind the giant disembodied brain and spinal column, it's decorative.

If not Aurora then Metroid Prime and Quadraxis doing laps of the park reminding you to behave (or be violently crushed!).

Rides are fun and all, but how about Hyrule Castle Town? Costumed people walking about, the castle in the center, where a show is put on every two hours or so where Link fights Gannondorf in epic, live action combat.
Kind of like Main Street USA at Disney World, leading to Cinderella Castle.

A Waluigi running around intentionally annoying everyone.
Actually, I think another cool thing they could do is set up something if a 'Where Waldo'-esique minigame where an actor playing Waluigi will hide somewhere at a random part of the park just minutes before the park opens, and the first visitor to find Waluigi would be rewarded with a coupon for a free snack or meal from any restaurant or concession stand in the Nintendo Theme park.

Also, forget the Sleeping Beauty castle from Disneyland, Nintendo's theme park could have 4, count 'em, 4 castles!

the first would be Princess Peach's Castle, a mostly girly-themed castle designed to essentially give visitors a semi royal welcome, the castle could come with a complete Royal spa with all features included, from messages, hot tubs, facials, all that good stuff. As well as Royal Cafe that serves various Mario-themed meals, included real-life imitations of Tayce T and Zess T's different recipes. And a Royal gift shop that sell different Mario-themed souvenirs, including all the various versions of the dresses that Princess Peach, Princess Daisy, and even Rosalina have worn throughout the entire franchise.

The second would be Bowser's Castle, which in contrast, could serve as a dark ride where visitors go on ride vehicles where they're greeted by an animatronic Bowser, who throughout the ride personally gives a guided tour of his Castle, showing animatronic versions of his minions and thing's they'd do when they're not fighting Mario. And like the Silverwood ride Tremors, the Bowser's Castle ride can end with the visitors exiting through a gift shop that sells different plushies and toys based on Bowser, his minions, and all the other different Mario villains.

The third would be King Dedede's Castle could serve as an area suits for very young children, possessing various Kirby-themed rides, attractions, and games for the little ones, the castle could also serve as a 'Lost Children' center where any kids who got lost or separated from their parents can be taken there where they can be safely watched over by park employees and can enjoy hanging around a fun and safe environment while they wait for their parents to find them here.

the fourth would be Hyrule Castle, which actually could serve as a theater of sorts, where visitors can sit and watch things like a live orchestra playing different Nintendo theme music, a Hylian magician performing magic acts, those sort of things.
I hate you now. Its all too damn perfect and won't be made in my life time. :( If Nintendo did that I'm pretty sure whatever money troubles they would have would be gone forever. Also if you think about Nintendo is really the only game company on Earth who could do something like this and with pretty much the whole world knowing who they are now and all the 80s and 90s kids starting to get married and have kids of their own I doubt they'd be opposed to take their children to such a park. Hell I'm 22 and I'd probably have a blast at the Kirby castle you describe.

Yeah, that would be cool.

though another Mario-related attraction that could work might be a Mario obstacle course, where you get run, jump across gaps, maybe even have a part where you get to jump on mini trampolines attached to a wall at angle to imitate Mario's wall jump technique.

Also, you know that Yoshi carousel from Super Mario Sunshine? I don't think any Nintendo theme park would be complete without one.
Absolutely. All of that would be good. I remember some of the most fun I had as a kid was going along to those, what do you call them, indoor theme parks? With the sort of multi-level bouncy castle type obstacles.

This sort of thing:

Of course, this one would have to be adult sized. And preferably huge.

Oh, what a glorious pipe dream

They're too busy printing money on the 3Ds and then losing that money on the WiiU to worry about theme parks.
I see what you did there:

Seriously, they have a shit ton of money to NOT do anything for years.
Do you? Do you REALLY see what I did there?

They do have a shit ton of money, but it's going to start going fast if the WiiU keeps flopping as hard as it's been.
