It would have to be someone who were taken way ahead of their time, someone who had a lot more to give and a lot more potential to develop left when they died.

I'd say either Otis Redding or Charlie Parker, but given how much music has changed since back then, would they be able, or even have the opportunity to continue doing what they did back in their time? Or maybe that's even more reason to bring them back...

Otherwise I'd definitely say Freddy Mercury ^^

I wanna see John Lennon rise from the grave as a badass zombie-ninja with katanas strapped to his back. He hunts down everyone in DC and decapitates them while singing "Imagine all the people... EATING ALL YOUR BRAINS!"

He is so awesome...
Why? So he can terrorize the streets of city with his raw jazz power?!?

On topic, Hendrix

Layne Staley of Alice in Chains.

However, I really really like William Duvall too... so unless Layne was able to control his drug use to still be a part of the deep dark Alice sound, I suppose I would actually stick with Will.

Are we talking for one night, or until they again manage to die?

For one live performance: Freddie Mercury
For a longer period: Kurt Cobain, cause I'd love to see what kind of work he'd be doing when he got older.. could get very interesting.

Rob 'Dime-Bob' Jones...

One of the nicest blokes I have ever known, and a cracking bassist too boot. Would give anything to get him back and jam for one last session.

...just to be different
I lol'd.. Even so, I doubt he'd be staying around very long a second time either :p My picks would be Jimi... Or Layne Staley.... Or perhaps Chuck Schuldiner from Death. Godfather of a genre.
