Who do you want it to be?

At first I was thinking of Superman, but then I decided if Kara was real instead, it would mean young girls will have one more strong female role model to look up to.

In the end, either Superman or Supergirl will be fine, I suppose.

Aquaman. Just to be a rebel.

No real reason beyond that. Really, though, any of them would be pretty cool. But I'll stick with Aquaman just because I know people would hate me for picking him if I got the power to pick one and only one.

Mr Manhatten
A super powered human that's basically a god and if he does blow up a few places like the movie (albiet intentional this time instead of accidental) we'd have global peace right?

Easy choice for me, Rorschach. The enemy of the corrupt, rapists, murderers and scum. He would be my hero.

Also Aquaman, but in this case because he is probably one of the most attractive superheroes out there. And he's a fucking King.
Oh wait, Nightwing... Okay. One of those.

Ah, fuck it, my real choice is Spider-Man. Not just because I have a crush on him but the guy is just the best. He's so likable and sincere. I wish he existed.

Seriously with Batman, you don't need to fear the possible abuse of a superhero god like powers and he will give the thugs, mobster and pychopath a run of their moneys.

I think that would definitely be one of the worst choices - if we're going to have a super-powered being around the place, do we really want it to be the aggressive, extremely touchy guy who rules over most of the planet?

Dude has his own army, a fuckton of advanced technology the likes of which we've never seen, claims two thirds of the planet as sovereign territory and can order all the whales and giant squid to band together and destroy anything we put in the water. I'd go for Superman, because at least all he wants to do is help; Aquaman might get pissed off one day and decide he doesn't want us in the sea anymore. And if we complained, he'd just use his talking-to-fish powers to give us all seizures.

People always seem to forget that Aquaman is one of DC's most dangerous guys, not only because he's a physical and political powerhouse but because years of people thinking of him as "the fish guy" have left him with an incredibly short fuse :p

Yeah, until he decides you are corrupt and worthy of punishment - remember, he's intensely disturbed and not all that concerned about who he hurts.

His mind isn't exactly stable at the best of times, what happens when he finally goes even further over the edge and just starts brutalising random people he sees as "part of the problem"?

Two Watchmen answers, I am proud Escapist. Adding on, I'd be the second Nite Owl. Just kidding! Ozymandias is where it's at.

Batman is the very obvious choice. He's the most-beloved comic book hero in the country, and he is awesome. More to the point, he is a man of wealth and power who fears not the super-powered because he uses his head-muscle for good.

That said, I'm going to be Tony Stark, because I get alot of what he has, plus I don't have to protect my identity and have alot more fun.

Batman or Ironman.

As has been said, their powers are wealth and intelligence so there is a lower risk of them abusing their "powers".

With the likes of Superman etc I'd always have this niggling worrying that they'd use their god-like powers for more nefarious purposes.

Iron man or Batman. For reasons already stated. Of the two tough, I guess Iron Man. He just seams like a "bigger" hero if you get what I am saying.

Yeah, but we're talking about bringing him into the real world. Superman would be functionally the same, because his powers would still work and he could continue doing what he did before (in act, since we have neither Kyrptonite or magic in this world, he's pretty much unstoppable) but Batman would be dead within days once he's deprived of his plot armour. In our world, unlike in the DCU, a man facing down a barrage of bullets isn't going to avoid 99% of them and have the other do nothing more than scratch his cheek - he's going to get killed.

I don't think you get to be him, just summon him up to fight crime for you, like a vigilante equivalent of those helper monkeys.

See I never found him that unstable. I think he has very brutal methods and can be obsessive when looking for a culprit, but I think he was always in control of himself. Everyone just thought he was mad. He was a good friend to Dan and he never hurt those that didn't deserve it, like women and children.

I think it helps that he is a bit disturbed in order to deal with the disturbed, fight evil with evil. Remember that part when Dan see's Hollis Mason dead on the television and it reports that he was killed by the Knot top gang. Well Dan see's that one of the gang members are in the bar they are in and he starts furiously beating his face in, and RORSCHACH stops him from killing the knot top. So I never found him to be crazy, just the right amount of crazy he had to be to deal with the filth.

Superman, Supergirl, Power Girl, Batman, Spider-Man, Dr. Manhattan, Rorschach, Nite Owl I and/or II, or Silk Spectre II would all be fine.

Jubilee from X-Men.

Even if she did abuse her powers it's just fireworks.

One of the most pointless mutants ever. She deserves to be real for the comedy.

Probably Superman. As he would do the best job keeping the peace throughout the world. Batman, unless he's on a team, really only sticks to one city. The X-Men, the team, or any one of them, probably wouldn't really care about protecting us from ourselves, as they were mostly concerned with mutants.

Meh. Second choice would be...Beast Boy, from the Teen Titans. Really late in the series, when he's somewhat competent. He would probably do a good job.
