If only I had done that earlier.

Post all your (insert title here) moments. I have 2

In Fallout New Vegas, I didn't think until very late in the game to silently kill the greeters at the casinos and 2 of the guards at the fort to keep my weapons at companions.

And most recently in Skyrim, I found out today that there's an exploit that allows you to complete the stones of barenziah quest quicker. If I knew about it when I started, I would be done by now.

It took me a while before I noticed the machine gun could fire grenades in Half-Life. If I remember correctly, it's the only weapon in the entire game to make use of the right mouse button.

The shotgun had a double burst and the handgun had a triple burst.

There's an exploit to complete that quest faster? Why did I not find that out -_-

OT: Devil May Cry 3's Royal Guard style. It's as much of a game breaker as 100% chameleon armor in Oblivion.

The first time I played a Persona game (P3 FEZ) I didn't realize until about 40 hours into the game that you could take Persona's out of the compendium for fusing, would have helped earlier haha.

I must have been spamming X to get through the dialogue faster and missed the part where they explained this feature, because you don't unlock it for a while, and I didn't think any new gameplay mechanics would be being introduced by that point.

Linking Phoenix in FF7 to your last attack materia. That saved my ass so many times after I figured it out. Oh no! Everyone in my party is dead...except not :) Also realizing you can mime Knights of the Round.

I always freeze up in League of Legends whenever I have to combo my abilities past the usual Q,W,R combo. I have to stop and just focus on my cooldowns sometimes. Though I can now sometimes tell what the fuck is going on in a pitched 5v5 teamfight. Can be such a mess of particle effects and intermingled red and green health bars sometimes you just have to mash buttons and see what happens. 'S why I like Riven, I can tell where she is from just watching for the signature green abilities going off and if all else fails the giant ass sword coming out of nowhere makes it hard to lose her.

It makes using someone like Orianna insanely difficult, you can use her abilities in so many different ways it gets really overwhelming. Do you give The Ball to the tank? Keep it on you and just poke around with it, just lob it into the enemy team and just Command: Shockwave bitches down? Or anything inbetween?

You can tell some genius is just zipping The Ball around every teamfight just pwning everything with perfect postioning and timing. You have to postion yourself and The Ball correctly, dealing with two seperate entities is harder than it sounds.

I get the positioning stuff usually but damn I will miss everything when I get into a team fight.

Funny how I just know what i'm doing with Riven now, I don't even have to think anymore... Just played (and won) my first ever ranked game as Riven solo top and got a Quadra 20 minutes in. Glad my friend was in the game too with his swagtastic Lux to witness the awesome.

Ranked is so much more relaxing than unranked it seems, like everyone knows wtf their role is and where they are going.

Unranked is a mess of terrible team composition, zero ward coverage, next to no junglers and people not focusing the damn carry!

I swear their tank was just being amazingly ignored by our entire team, is that your taunt Shen? BRT we're just focusing down your Sivir atm ^^

Funny as hell when my friend got first ban rights, didn't read the word ban, yelled "I wanna be Janna!" and instabanned Janna by accident. Funny. as. hell.

We had no idea who to ban either... The other team were going down the checklist of good mid champions (Karthus, Morgana etc etc) and we were just going "who's annoying? Jungle Amumu! *ban*"

My latest was in Skyrim when I decided to test just how weak Lydia was. Lydia at max level in legendary Daedric armor versus an ebony mace I found lying around some Draugr. How many light hits did it take to take her down? One.
There was also GTA4 when I realized I could stop playing GTA4. That game was so at odds with itself I honestly forgot I could steal cars.

At the end of the Iifa Tree dungeon in Final Fantasy 9. You face a boss (I can't remember what it's called) and like most of the creatures in the dungeon it's of the undead verity. I struggled against in the battle since one of his attacks is an instant death if exectue a command. I ended up using a lot of my potions and phoenix downs and other healing items. It wasn't until after the battle I realized that if I had cast life on it, it would of died instantly.

Edit: just checked on the wiki the bosses name is Soulcage

Played Oblivion for 30 hours without figuring out how hotkeys worked. That was pretty stupid.

Also, I never knew that you could do a triple burst with the handgun in Half Life until reading this thread.

An extremely recent situation for me is in Kingdom of Loathing...i realised that suddenly, the Ultracolour Shirt was extremely beneficial for the current event at the moment.

Currently, there is a world event involving a giant fire, it can only be harmed reasonably with cold attacks, so you drink Phials of Coldness to tune all your damage into cold....but then i remembered that the Ultracolour Shirt deals prismatic elemental damage based by the number of buffs on you...considering that buffs was easy to get and all the tuned-to-cold-damage did double damage against the fire, the shirt alone can provide a bit of damage.
