how about a game where you play a normal guy who has been lifted up to supernatural prowess. it has an open ended story, but several paths lead you down an enthralling story filled with loss, sacrifice, and deep, interesting characters.

Oh, and if you're evil, you can rob gas stations, banks, ect. while, say, pausing time, or spraying fire and lightning everywhere.

P.S. make it a true sandbox, don't put cheap things in the way to keep them from going places, and actually give them freedom, not just an illusion of it.

Woohoo! You're welcome to join us on the honeymoon, any ideas where your mind would like to go?

Ever played "InFamous"? You sort of described it minus the robbing places and freezing time abilitys.

Fear Effect 3

I still can't believe Eidos cancelled the game back in 2003. I can't even tell myself that it would have been a bad sequel, since there's a handful of completed cut scenes online and they look awesome, even retaining the same voice actor of the second game.

A squad based realistic shooter across massive maps and involving full army coordination.

In single player.

In the Warhammer 40, 000 universe.

EDIT: Or a gory brawling game/infiltration game, like a cross between prototype/assassins creed/splinter cell: rogue agent set in the Twilight universe. Seriously.
Tried Batman Arkham Asylum? That's pretty much exaclty the game you are looking for...

Star Wars: Battlefront 3. That shit would be so badass..
Yes. It. Would!

If they made that game in the same brilliant streak as they did SW BF2, and used today's computing power and a high budget... It would literally shine with awesomeness!

A balanced Call of Duty game. I've always thought that developers should just remake older games, with new graphics engines, but exactly the same mechanics and everything, just new graphics and refined more responsive controls. Basically like what the Pokemon developers did with Heart Gold/Soul Silver and even Fire Red/Leaf Green. I feel like this wouldn't normally yield as much money as a sequel, but to die hard fans it would probably be an amazing thing. An example of this would be remaking Call of Duty 2, widely regarded as the best game in the series. I'm sure remaking this game with better servers etc. would make a lot of fans of the series very very happy. I think Pokemon is the model for this. Not saying its the same thing at all between a console game like Call of Duty, and a handheld like Pokemon, but when the developers remade Pokemon Gold/Silver into Heart Gold/Soul Silver, they really integrated the newer aspects of the game into the older games very well.

Since Sierra has now lost the lisence for StarControl franchise, I really really hope the creators of StarControl 2 will make a proper sequel for it. They've already said that they're trying to talk their new boss into it, and the game still has fanbase after over ten years. And that they'd ignore the Sierra's crapfest.

World war Z: The game.

Usually, a film being made into a game is a bad idea, and a book even more so, but stay with me on this. Imagine being put into the shoes of the multiple more action packed interviewees in the book. Probabaly mainly following Todd Wainio's platoon through their campaign from Yonkers to retaking New york, T. sean collin's escape from the besieged celebrity hideaway, Kondo Tatsumi's progression from out-of-his-depth nerd to samurai apprentice, and Christina Eliopolis' trek across infested swampland to be evacuated. Of course, repetetiveness would be a problem, but with the right mix of settings and situations, it could be excellent.

A good Sonic game. Like, one that everyone looks at and goes, "Heck yes! That's the hedgehog I remember from my days on the Sega Genesis!"

Apparantly, Sonic Colors is a step in the right direction. Can anyone verify this?
I can. It's pretty good. If you wanted something close to a "Super Sonic Galaxy", you'd get Sonic Colors. Also, like the Sonic/Mario relationship, the Mario game will always be better, but the Sonic one is still good.

A complete. open world Simpsons game - like Grand Theft Auto but different - with every character, vehicles, weapon and plot (mission) reference - at least form before season 10.
Simpsons Hit and run?
Loved it. But, make it all one world. Basically, use this map:
http://adn.blam.be/springfield/

and EVERY car, characters, weapon, plot...
and ideally cell shaded so it literally looks JUST like the show in stills.
