Couldn't Ditto theoretically become ANYTHING? Or anyone for that matter? Think about it.

Woah Jesus! I never once really thought about the fact that it wears another animal's skull.
It actually wears the skull of one of its parents.

Don't ask me why I know, some things you just remember.
That's even worse.
Not quite. Cubones are actually crybabies by nature, and wear the skull of one of their parents in a way similar to a safety blanket.
Oh. Anything else I should know about Cubone mentality?

Gyarados would probably destroy the world's shipping trade, and for a nation that relies so heavily on its international business (The U.S.) that's probably the scariest thing.

Failing, I dunno, any of those stupid new generation Pokemon that can bend time and space and make the older generations look like pussies.

Some would look pretty normal looking or at least not out of the ordinary like ninetails, growlth, archanine, vulpix or even EEVEE...

Pretty much all of these are regular dogs, wolfs and foxes with some strange colors. Personally I have no fear of a few of these walking around, there even kinda cute.

(And all my examples are fire types...huh strange.)

Gyrados.
Sure, Charizard and the other dragons are scary as hell, but Gyrados can fucking lurk under the water, waiting for your fat ass to go swimming or something.
At least with the land based ones, you have something of a chance.
Not with that giant snaky bastard, though.
Yep, my thoughts exactly.

My phobia of open seas + big fat monster sea snake = scariness.

So, Neonbob, if you had to choose which to eradicate; all the gyarados or all the whales?

First off, thank god, we've named only the first 151 so far.

Now then, My vote is for tengela. There is just so much that is wrong with that pokemon.
Haha that is because the first 151 are where nostalgia ends, maybe gold and silver at a pinch. i played all the ones up to diamond out of loyalty to the series but the first ones are the only ones that really count.

Think of all the pent up rage that a Gyrados can have because we kept teasing it as Magikarp.

Yeah...

Edit: Stupid image...
You deserve a medal for showing us that picture, and I'm putting it on my Facebook. You know, if that means anything to you.

Choose? Screw that!
I'd just get Zapdos and fry everything in the damn ocean!
Hahaaaa!

That...that sounds like the premise of a slasher-film villain.

I think guns could probably do some damage.
Or you know, a small electric mouse seeing how pokemon logic means Gyarados would die from the tiniest spark.

*Shuffles papers*

Gyrados is.... a ninja?
*dons hat*
Close. But not quite. It is the nightmare of all who swim, though.
Imagine Jaws, but with a fucking hyper beam.
You just crapped yourself a bit, didn't you?

Picture this. You're swimming in the ocean, your yacht lolling about lazily in the water. Pale moonlight streaks across the waves in a brilliant shimmering silver. You feel great. Beyond great since you had that six pack, but hey, it's not like anyones there to check up on you right? This place is deserted, it took you 4 hours to find it from the mainland.

Except you didn't bother to check why this place was so deserted. You didn't notice the signs on the way out (hey, you were hardly gonna get pulled over for a DUI, so why not have a few brewskis at the wheel?). You didn't notice the titanium alloy fence that you bumped over, hazily just batting away that it was "a rough wave". And you certaintly didn't notice the radio report to stay away from this area.

But the Gyrados has noticed you...
This guy? He gets it.
*high fives*
There's one important detail you're forgetting when it comes to exactly how terrifying a world with Gyradoses would be.

Gyrados has two types. The first is Water.

The second is Flying.

...

*removes glasses*

Gentlemen...it's worse than we feared.
