I'd have Kabutops. Reason why...it was the very 1st pokemon card I ever had as a kid and he's awesome. He's got hands like Scyther, but he's faster, stronger, cooler and the way his attributes are set up nothing is a crit (Rock and water at once ftw).

Ditto or Charmander, though I rather have Guilimon then either of them. Nothing beats the Dub version of him. He can beat the sh!t out of any pokemon while being cuter then any of them in his rookie form.

then he becomes a badass armored t-rex. badass.

That is his Ultimate stage his Champion stage is a badass t-rex.

All stages he kicks ass, though his Virus Mega Stage kicks the most ass.

Plus he is voiced by Steve Blum which many know the guy as the voice of Spike Spegial. I don't think any Pokemon can top that.

But it start off with a charmander, at the start id catch mainly normal, grass and bug type pokemon, then it would just grow and grow til i beat all the gyms
