Methinks the obvious choice would be Antonio Banderas...and no, I swear I didn't just pick the name of a random non-white actor outta a hat...okay...maybe I did.
Not only he was black... He was a drawing of Samuel L Jackson. Its like casting for the role was decided years ago.Bucht said:Why does everyone want Fury to be black?
That's like casting a Filipino to play Jesus...

Now let's just put my flameshield up before everyone starts calling me a racist or starts pointing out that Ultimate Fury was black.
They actually can't do that.TheCaptain said:Actually, that's how I remembered Fury, too, but I must admit that Samuel L. Jackson did such an awesome job portraying him that it'd be very hard to replace him. It'd probably be better to write him out of the Marvel Movie Universe.Bucht said:Why does everyone want Fury to be black?

who acts more like a spy than a leader of a massive military organisation. So im ok that they made the ultimate one because they are very different characters.
Plus there has been a Nick Fury film with the white Nick Fury. He was played by David Hasslehoff. The film was so bad that I feel making a significant change to the design of the character (such as changing race, gender or signature missing body-part) necessary to distance the avengers films from that failure.Dryk said:They got Jackson's permission to make him look like that, on the condition that he get to play Nick Fury in future movies. It seems like a pretty awesome deal.Vuliev said:Nick Fury was black in the "Ultimate" line of comics from Marvel, and that particular Nick happened to look a hell of a lot like Jackson. And having Jackson as the head of a secret superhero agency...well, you get the idea.
I agree, I'd rather not have Fury at all than have some replacement.Mortai Gravesend said:This sounds best. Replacing him would just feel really off.WolfThomas said:Probably just have Maria Hill take over as Director of SHIELD. And have SHIELD take more of a back seat to the Avengers.
