Warcraft 3 is the only sequel I've ever considered great, so I'll choose that.

Metal Gear Solid 1 and 3, above all others. I'd miss MGS2 as well, but not as much as those. And, yeah, Half-Life 2.

Also, the Halo series, but not for the reasons you think. Without the sequels, Red vs Blue wouldn't have gotten as completely fucking awesome as it did.

Shadow Hearts: Covenant, Gungrave Overdose, Metroid Prime series to say the least.

Games I wouldn't miss: Mario Series, Any sports franchise series (Madden, NBA, etc), Pokemon Series (make one HUGE game with EVERY pokemon, except that diamond/pearl crap, and not split it up between two copies)
