Call Of Duty 4, Fallout 3, Half-Life 2, all the new NHL and Fifa games (the Xbox 360/PS3 ones), Saints Row 2, Gta 3 (and Vice City, and San Andreas, and IV), Toca Race Driver 2... It's a long list really.

ratchet and clank but final fantasy doesn't count since they arent sequels to one another but it would have stopped them from making X-2 and those ff7 compilations (though crisis core is a prequel so it wouldnt fall under this sequel banning

So much stuff I couldn't even begin to list it. I'm one of those weird people who liked the Tomb Raider sequels, and the BtVS second game, and the Halo sequels, and Thief II, and Mario and Sonic sequels.

You get the picture.

I'll probably catch a lot of flak for this, but I'd miss all the Sonic games. I can't help it, but I'm a fan (of most of the recent games anyways)

Star Wars battlefront 2, Soul Calibur 2,3 and4, GTA4 or come to think of it all the GTA games since the first one. Sequels are a good thing but they have to be done well, I.E be as good, nearly as good or better than the original game/s.

Banning sequels is a silly idea. Then we'd never have gems like Resident Evil 4.

The only people who should be banned from making sequels are Sonic Team.

Most (ok, some) of the Zelda series after the first one... Resident Evil 4, Fallout 3, Warcraft 2, All the ace attorney series after the first one, KOTOR 2, All the metroids after the first one (the 2D ones, mind you. The 3D ones sucked after the first.) Banjo Tooie, System Shock 2 and Bioshock (Bio isn't really a sequel, but lets face it, if sequels were banned, Bio wouldn't exist anymore), Doom2 and Doom3, Paper Mario 2, well... The list could go on, but mind you, if sequels were banned all the good ones take up about the 1% range. The other 99% I'd be glad to see leave.

If sequels were banned it would be mental seppuku for me. No Half-Life 2 and no Team Fortress 2 = Screams of agony

It would suck more if I wasn't allowed to play Fallout 2 since I'm replaying it for the first time now and I'm actually enjoying myself.

X-Men Legends 2, the Burnout series, the Sly Cooper series, and Spyro 2 and 3 would be the videogame sequels that I would miss the most.

If sequels were banned in all types of media however, I would not miss Transformers 2 or the Saw movies. The Saw movies I think are getiing way too many sequels and Transformers 2 was one of the worst movies that I have ever watched in theaters. It is really too bad because the original was actually a decent movie to say the least.

Edit: I would also be a very sad panda if Phantasy Star 4 and Dark Cloud 2 was banned becuase those games were almost near perfect in terms of Japnese RPG's.

Well I wold miss Gears of War 2 because it' just so facken oresum and also AC 2... Even if it's not out yet.
I hate to be a grammer nazi but what are you even trying to say? Wold, facken, oresome, for all I know you want to build a boat in which to sail across a river using an oar to guide it along. Please spellcheck your words before posting.

I'd miss the GTA series mostly I think. I've played them all (except for the new DLC. Damn exclusives) and they are some of my favorite games.

Any of the Mother or Half-Life games. Also, if sequels were banned, wouldn't that also mean that mods, like Counter-Strike and Gmod?

Wait really, because if you like most of the recent sonic games do you like Sonic 06 because I can't see how anyone could like that game except for its soundtrack.

Baldur's Gate II.
The Empire Strikes Back + Return of the Jedi.
Quake II.
Indiana Jones 2 + 3.
Aliens.
Back to the Future 2 + 3.

So there's quite a lot of stuff. Banning sequels would be idiotic, anyway. I know there are a lot of bad sequels, but there are some genuinely great ones as well, the ones listed above being some of my personal favourites.

My first reaction would be to scream "NOOOOO NOW I'LL NEVER PLAY BIOSHOCK 2" at the top of my lungs. And then cry.

Then I would remember all the wonderful sequels that were made over the years and are being pulled from the shelves. And then I'd cry harder.

Half-Life 2
Super Metroid
The Elder Scrolls 2, 3, 4 (Arena sucked big time, so this would be a big blow to the series)
Final Fantasies IV, VI, and IX
Super Mario Bros. 3, Super Mario World, and Yoshi's Island
Pretty much every main Zelda game except for Zelda II
Sonic 2, 3, and CD
Sonic Adventure 2 (Much improved over the first, which had way too much downtime and not enough levels where you could just RUN)
Call of Duty 2 and 4 (Nobody would miss 3 or 5, but 2 was amazing and 4 was one of the best shooters ever made)
Age of Empires II, Age of Mythology, and Age of Empires III
Divinity II (it's not out in the States yet but it looks like one hell of an RPG)
Team Fortress II (My favorite multiplayer shooter ever)
