If Vaas from Far Cry 3 got a spin-off movie from the game, do you believe it would be a horror film?

Hey guys, just want an opinion on Vaas, or whether or not people would want to see more of him. Let's face it, love him or hate him Vaas is an amazing character (not in the sense of good but in the sense of depth), and we could all stand to see more of him.

One idea I heard someone say was that Vaas would get his own movie, but have it in the horror genre and honestly I think that would work great. I mean honestly, think about this: What the the most terrifying thing on this island? The animals? The pirates? The drugs? What the island does to you? Or is it the madman at center of this cataclysmic storm who revels in the horror of it all? Plus it would be nice if a horror movie got out of the same old rural town near some type of business dependent on the land (mines, forestry, farms, oil fields, etc.) or suburban America. I mean mankind is capable of some monstrous things so why not make the monster a person?

I'm just fishing to see everyone's opinions on what is next for Vaas.

So what do you think should be next for Vaas? What and why?

A film covering Vaas's descent into madness could actually work as a decent horror film, especially considering the fact that he's a hallucinogenic drug addict by the time you meet him in-game. I think that in David Fincher's style that would be an amazing and truly fucked up experience. Not to mention he is already a pretty multidimensional character, with many elements that make him simultaneously hatred-worthy, fearsome, and kinda likeable. I hope they do more with the character.

I think I just would have preferred more Vaas in the game.
Seriously, I never even considered this "Hoyt" bloke being the main bad guy because all the fucking advertising was just "DUUUUDES LOOK AT THIS CRAZY ************ YO IT'S VAAS"

I couldn't see it as a horror movie, with the focus being on Vaas's brutal torturing of slaves (something along those lines to qualify it as a horror flick) for example.

But thriller yes, witnessing vaas's descent (ascent?) from former Rakyat tribesman to psychotic leader of a group of vicious slave smuggling pirates might just work. Origin story basically

If there's one criticism I have of far cry 3 its Hoyts replacement of Vaas at the end of the ...second act I guess I'd call it. We developed a connection with Vaas, and to replace that with the cliched Mr suave evil rich guy was just disappointing for such an excellent game

This. They killed Vaas off way too early in the game. There was so much more potential there. Exploring the reasons why Vaas turned against his sister. And many more instances of Vaas being... well being Vaas could have put Far Cry 3 over the top.

i think it would be more of a psychological suspense/thriller rather than a horror..i'd still love to see it though.

To be fair, they do explain why he turned against his sister (combination of the drugs and his sister wanting to make the perfect warrior with him the same way she wants to do to you, i'm leaving it intentionally vague in case of spoilers) but I do agree that he died way to early. He needed more screen time, he was the reason I bought the damn game.
