No, we would be down THE pretentious snob.

OT: I'd be kinda bummed. I'd no longer have a new Escapist thing to watch every weekday at lunch, and we'd lose a strong voice in the community. That said, it'd suck hard core but I'd still visit the site a dozen times a day.

Yahtzee was the reason I first came to the Escapist, though I've found enough reasons that I would stay if he left.

Moviebob would be the only draw left for me and D & A if they ever come back.

I would say unskippable too but it seems like that shows popularity is waning and it could be on the way out.

Personally, I would miss the old crank, and would probably not frequent the site near as much as I do. But - on a site-wide scale, I am sure not a lot would really change. I can imagine a small percentage come around just for Yahtzee's videos, but most people on here probably would not even notice.

Yahtzee's ZP is the reason I came to this site, but now that I've seen much of what's here I'd still come back to check things out regularly even without him.

I would probably stay on board, there's plenty of great content and forums that don't suck (besides the banhammer-happy mods) here. In other news, Yahtzee stated in a Q&A session that when he does leave, he will most likely go to Valve. If you read Extra Punctuation, you can probably see why I would be excited to see his innovative ideas in a place that can actually make them reality.

To be honest, I haven't watched Yahtzee from a long time... Nowadays I only come here for the forums. So I would stay.

Everyone who just lives in his comment section would leave. The forums wouldn't die, we'd just shrink a bit.

If he left the escapist?

...Don't let the door hit your ass on the way out buddy.

I just don't care either way. Yeah, the videos are entertaining but he's just a reviewer, people make him out to be more than he is. Is he funny? Yeah. But there are plenty of other funny people on this site too. Losing one doesn't make the site lose it's total credibility.

But if he did leave, it wouldn't affect my viewing of this site either way. Escapist and Destructoid are the only gaming blogs I care for ATM, with siliconera right behind the two. Losing 'one' piece of content from an otherwise large site, would not make me want to stay away from it forever.

Hell, even if LRR left, though I hope it doesn't happen, I'd still visit here. Hell, if ALL the video providers left, I'd STILL do my daily check ins.

Easy. Alot of fanboys would cry and moan about it, but most people would understand. The man likes to write, just go read some of his fully rambolic (sp?) stuff. If he left the Escapist it would be to do other things with his life, and more power to him. His fan boys are getting so annoying that I almost feel embarrassed for him, plus it wont last forever. Whether he wants to or not, the man will move on from this.

We'd have far fewer new people coming in probably. However, with Extra Credits, maybe it'll get popular enough to gain that same appeal. It certainly has the potential.
