thankyou for calling me jesus, i have to admit i love ricky's podcast but all he does is laugh Karl pilkington is truly the "brains" (want for a better word) behind those podcasts, he is hilarious ricky and that other guy just laugh at him. ricky gervais' stand-up is aweful and i seen one gig where his set lasted longer than usual because he was filing in for elton john, he cannot improvise and thats bad for a comedian

To be fair he was terrible there, but he's usually a lot better than that. His stand up shows like Politics and Animals are absolutely hilarious. It is true that the Ricky Gervais show is more the Karl Pilkington show, but he was still the person who discovered Karl and realised the show was funny. I personally wouldn't have thought it'd be funny if I hadn't seen it, 'two people laugh at a naive man' doesn't sound amazing.

animals isnt that funny, its just him showing pictures of how animals have gay sex. i liked the religion one, that was so funny. i think the MAJORITY of his humour is just not funny and the dance that everyone loves is just crap.

i suppose he gets credit for discovering karl pilkington but i think karl is much funnier and what makes him so funny is that hes actually genuine, he just says what he thinks.
