The world of Trigun seems like a pretty cool place. I know it's a hellhole but at least I get to fiddle around with some sweet steampunk tech and can work on my tan.

Call it a gundam ripoff if you want, but it was so epic.
EDIT: Add Samurai Jack to the list. Technically not an anime, but I would seriously just follow him around screaming encouragement form the back. One of my favorite things of all time.

Not Code Geass that world is in alot of turmoil even at the end of it it still seemed like it could get quite hectic again.
Not Death Note I don't want to live in a world where you can be killed by someone writing your name in a notebook and I wouldn't really want to be the person with the notebook either.
Not Darker than Black if I got special powers I would lose all emotions which would make life much less interesting then the obseisance or w/e it's called wouldn't be very fun either. And if I'm not a contractor then I'm basically cannon fodder.
Maybe Fullmetal Alchemist it's a cool world and concept but only if I could perform alchemy without a circle and only lose something very minor in the process like a toe or something
Maybe Air Gear riding on ATs would be pretty awesome but if you took a fall that would hurt pretty bad... basically rollerblades with car engines in them yea what could possibly not be safe about that
Maybe Trigun hanging out with Vash would just be awesome as long as I were something like Wolfwood and could use a gun at a rather high degree of skill. But then also being trapped on a crappy desert world would not be fun.
Yu Yu Hakusho Yea that would be a cool universe become a Spirit Detective and take down demons and stuff... I wouldn't mind doing that

+Anima, as I wouldn't mind being segregated if it meant I had a froody animal power. Better than being segregated for having glasses
Fairy Tail if I could use magic. Joining the guild would be a never-ending entertaining experience. If I couldn't use magic, then Toaru Majutsu no Index. Almost anyone can develop esper powers just by going to class. Plus it would be fun to hang out with people like Touma and Misaka.

Even here where i live the Moomins( in my language they're called Muumid) were and are quite popular. I think there's still a comic coming out monthly, though it's for kids.
