for a semi legal attempt i would go with a Butterfly knife, curved for badassery, but they are illegal in some places so i dont know.

as for fantasy, how about a friendly little demon i can summon and control that can shape shift itself into different weapons/gear and just do plain attacks. THAT would be awesome.

While it's not very useful at a range, in a close quarters fight, it would be decent.

For real life weapons, though...I'll go with a crossbow. Those things are badass. And powerful enough to pierce almost anything at short-medium range.
