No atomic bomb. I'm quite curious as to what other events would follow.
You mean dropping or creating the bomb?

If the atomic bombs were never dropped, then there would be no widespread understanding of mutually assured destruction. We probably wouldn't exist right now.

If the atomic bomb was never invented, that would be interesting.

I tend to believe that changing anything in history leads to the end of the world.
Both, really. Perhaps I should make that clearer.

UNFORTUNATELY I DONT THINK THAT WOULD WORK LETS BE HONEST WITH THE DEATH OF OSAMA WE KNOW THAT BUSH WAS LYING ABOUT HIM BEING IN IRAQ AND WE JUST ENDED UP INVADING A DEVELOPING NATION VERY SAD WHEN YOU THINK ABOUT IT
I don't think Bush was lying, the only thing that proves is that he had crap intelligence. It was always a possibility that he was in Pakistan, but the most likely place was a hidden series of underground tunnels under a mountainrange, miles and miles long situated on the Iraq/Pakistan border. Also, it wasn't politically advantageous for Bush to declare Pakistan was in Cahoots with Osama, for obvious reasons.

Whether the invasion and occupations that have been happening are right or not is another issue, but there are several reasons why Bush wouldn't say Osama was in Pakistan, it doesn't necessarily mean he was malicious.

oddly enough if you think about it preventing something in history will not stop something similar from happening especially since things usually occurred as a reaction to something happening.

Christianity was adopted over polytheist religions because it was a symbol that kings were a single ruler. It was a SINGULAR power. accepting christ is basically accepting god into your heart. christ was considered a demigod at a time where many demigods "existed." But then they just refered to him as god on earth and this has changed many times to fit with the changing times.

So canceling christianity will not prevent another similar religion from taking its place, one that could be a hell of a lot worse.

So in other words the ideas of stopping one religion is mute.

Besides religion has been necessary, it has its place in the world till modern times where now it is serving to hold back the world with its ideology thats basically defeatist.

The thing is you can already see the backlash against religion in a lot of people's attitude towards it.

now if i could do something i would go back and turn all the countries in europe into more forgiving countries before the the turn of the 19th century

I'd like to see where the English would go. Would they crush the U.S. in a mass exodus and occupation with their surviving troops?
That's exactly what happened in the Code Geass backstory >_>

As for my change? Constantine not converting to Christianiy would have likely saved us all a lot of grief.

Woah woah woah woah woah woah....woah...does that mean I could be piloting a Nightmare Frame right now? lets go back in time and fix this...now!

EDIT: So I don't get in trouble for a low content post...again....What would happen if The US stayed out of WWII for whatever reason, and Hitler never broke his non-aggression pact with Russia, at least not until after he finished the war on the western front.

It seems to me that had Pearl Harbor not happened then America would have at least been slower to attack Japan and Japan would have continued its attacks (and massacres) in Asia leading to a more ransacked China and that could change quite a few things.

OT: Islam has had just as large of as effect on the world as Christianity, what if Muhammad died young or was never born at all.

and i think little "curious" George.w.bush persuaded us to invade in the thought that OSAMA the master mind behind the September 11 terrorist attack was there when all we really did was take a developing nation for its oil
You might want to review your history. Osama Bin Laden was never in Iraq and the Bush administration never claimed that he was. The stated reason behind the invasion was the claim that Saddam Hussein had weapons of mass destruction (chemical, biological and nuclear) that he was willing to supply to terrorists. After the weapons did not materialize during the invasion and search the mission statement was changed to building a stable country that was friendly to the United States in a hostile region. The actual reason behind the invasion was that George W. Bush and his advisers (or most of them at least) really fucking hated Saddam Hussein for a variety of political and personal reasons. They didn't invade for oil because such an invasion would take Iraqi oil off the market for a decade or more and the United States has access to more than enough oil from Saudi Arabia. The Bush administration was well aware of this and went ahead with the invasion anyway. The invasion of Iraq was political and personal. Make of that what you wish.

Well that is disturbing since because of that he supported tolerance of all religions with the Edict of Milan which proclaimed religious tolerance of all religions throughout the empire.

People like to claim it was oil greed because it is simple. The actual reasons are no less infuriating but they are much more complicated and a lot less easy to blame on the United States as a whole instead of six guys in a room.

Pearl Harbor prevented.
Sucks for Japan. The US would have still attacked them eventually. Also sucks for China who would have continued to get raped and massacred by the thousands.

But hey, at least we'd save a single US base from a retaliatory attack because of our attempts to manipulate a sovereign nation. Win!
I love how you twist history into making the United States the bad guy. Oh how evil we are for cutting American oil sales to Japan after they invade China! We shouldn't do that because it is manipulating a sovereign nation! The United States would really liked to have avoided getting drawn into any part of WWII. If Japan had not attacked the United States they would likely have been able to get away with most of their actions and hold onto their empire. Alas for them they perceived us as a threat and in doing so made us into one.

I'm going to opt for a top 3 here...

1. The rise of organized religion, just to see what happens. (I know this was posted previously, but it was one of mine as well).

2. And, just for laughs, stop the formation of Nintendo. Who would take their place if they were never there?

Who wins the Revultionary War. To see the world without the US.
Heheh, another one of those? Seriously the US Revolution had to be one of the most "progressive" things of the time. If you think all the US stands for is oppression, then you should have seen times back then...probably would be working on a plantation paying your master for your little section of land which is the only source of food, wealth, and homage that you have. And you still gotta rent it!
You presume I hate the US and wish it gone. I do not. I consider myself rather patriotic and pro-America. Which is why I dislike when the US does bad shit, just as a good friend hates seeing their buddy do something wrong and tries to get them to stop.
But it would be nice to see if the world would be better or worse without the US. For all the shit we get, the world witohut the US might be even worse.
Europe would be completely under German control.....twice.
Or the world would be under Soviet control
North Korea would just be Korea
However there might not be any nuclear devices at all
How about all the US inventions? (beisdes war based)
What about people's rights?
Also, who would the Middle East hate? I guess more focus on europe.
Also what would take up North America if not the states? Probably alot more war woul have happend, just among all the European countries fighting for control of here and there.
Pretty much yeah the world would be in a lot worse place without us, as much as people like to blame America they have relied on us for a lot since the revolution
Um america when you have stopped high fiving each other Germany was losing WW1 before you even joined. Also if you have any idea what the wall street crash did to germany you can see how the americans held their place to let the nazis come to power (i would be interested to see what would of happened to Europe is the nazis won anyway. (hint hint, by the way human rights isn't exactly an anrican invention, its not a accident that the civil war happened when Britain was starting its ban on the slave trade
