Maybe I'm just blind and haven't found it yet, but I wish there was a way to log-out when on the forums. The little...bar thing with the link to log-out is gone when you click the forums tab. So I always have to go back to another tab just to sign off.

Sometimes when writing a post, it does not show in the thread that you have written anything there.. But says on your profile that you have written in that thread.

+1 to Unforgotten realms, ,removal of religion +politics section, Maybe the facebook style comment thing, save for, if you've seen youtube recently, a ton of people will go "Thumbs up if you agree!" Which gets really annoying.

Create a blog system with entries and comments from the users. And with subscribtions.
That way, if you want to share something with the Escapist that isn't a review, you don't have to create a forum post about it.

I'd move polls to below the OP. That way, people are far more likely to read the post before they vote on it.
I'd also make it possible to add a 'page=last' code to the end of forum URLs that made it possible to save the most recent page as a bookmark. At the moment, I have to save the first page then click to the last one every time (which is more annoying than it sounds).
Also... messages for being quoted in an edit would be good, as it was mentioned earlier, as long as people didn't get messaged every time an edit was made.
