If you could change your name without all the hassle, what would you pick?

In celebration of me finally changing my name by Deed Poll, I was wondering what other people would choose if they had the opportunity to change their names?

Obviously I'll still have all the hassle, like getting a witness to sign the forms, and updating my information everywhere I can think of. But lets pretend you don't have to do all that!

I changed my name because I've always disliked telling people my real name. I just don't feel it ever suited me. So far I've only told my father and although he's not happy, he accepts that I'm an adult and that I've already made the decision.

My new permanent name is Sky Catherine Devine, and I can finally say that with pride. :D

So, what would your new name be, and why?

I don't think I would change it.

It's not the best name ever but it's mine and I've grown attached to it.

That and people find it difficult to shorten it or turn it into a nickname which is kind of nice. :3

Oh dear. This is something I think about every now and then and I do have a few aliases that are anagrams of my actual name, but actually legally changing my name...I don't think I could actually go through with it even though I don't really like my first name and am okay with my middle and last names.

Good for you I guess, can't say I'm a fan, I'd imagine getting taken seriously is gonna be an issue.

OT: Ashley, Ash, whichever, I like my name, it's simple and not too common without being eccentric.

Wait why?

What's wrong with Sky? >:V

I have an official document, it kind of has to be taken serious.

The same thing wrong with people called 'Peaches' or 'Apple' XD

I'm not a fan of nouns as names.

Considering my father picked my first name from the job he was currently working at the time, and my middle name was simply the most generic thing that came to mind at the time of my birth certificate, and my last name is a one people consistently fail to pronounce properly, despite the fact it sounds exactly how it looks, I don't think I'd change my name.

It's kind of grown on me.

The one I already have, I did chose it myself. Not going to write it here, seeing as I am the only one with my second name in my country it would be far too easy to track me down.

I guess my alternative name would be "Ryan". It still got the same letter as my real name but unlike my real name, there is no nickname relating to penis...

hahaha, no. It is not. But being a transsexual woman I do not want to take any unneccesary risks.

I don't think I would. I don't care enough about my name to change it,[footnote]Though I love having the first initials D.J.[/footnote] but even if I did I wouldn't be able to think of a name I'd prefer.

Congrats on the change. Sounds like a cool name.

I don't think I could change my name, it's the sort of thing I like to toy with in my mind but after over two years of thinking I haven't even been able to settle on a consistent Internet username, let alone an actual proper name. As much as I like the name "JoJo", it'd be difficult to take a Mr JoJo Smith seriously.

I'd change my name to "". Yes, I'd have no name only so that someone asks me my name I can say "I'm nobody" and then show them my ID.

I'd also dress like a MIB.
