If you could choose a single NPC to have a game built around them... who would you choose...

I'd have to nominate two complimentary NPCs; Captain Price and Gaz. Seriously though, I'd like to know what happened in Beirut and why Kamarov owes them one. Gaz was an awesome sarky character and they shouldn't have made a sequel without him (Gaz >> Ghost by a factor of OVER 9000!), but there was plenty of room for a good prequel methinks; we can hope for a better game, but we're not going to get it.

If that's not allowed, then I'd have to go for Strider from Stalker: Call of Pripyat; I think he could have an interesting tale about him.

This is too easy, the obvious answer is Garrus from the Mass Effect series. Especially a game revolving around his time in between Mass Effect 1 and 2.

I also agree with the idea of a Garrus-game. Maybe like some kind of LA Noire, Garrus on the Citadel style. Or like you said, his bad ass time on Omega.

I dunno if this would quite count, but.. A Killzone campaign where you play as the Helghast could be awesome if done right, especially if the story was handled very well.

How did he get to Termina, or is he even Hyrule's Skull Kid... i dunno somthing like that would be fun i suppose, especially if you had Majora's Mask on you

He does. He's seen in the Space Pirate ship in sort of like a captain/admiral position in a cutscene in Zero Mission.
