I'd want to live until I said a certain word that would instantly kill me. That way, I'd be able to do whatever I wanted to, and I'd be able to end it if something catastrophic happened (i.e. world exploded and I didn't make it on a spaceship to fly away)
I'd either go with this or just say until the year 3000. And if this being would be so benevolent I'd ask that my future wife be able to share my gift so that I wouldn't be alone or miserable after all those(but her) that I knew and loved died
It'd definitely be a mindfuck for her until you found her and explained the situation.

I wouldn't ask for my future wife to have it, but I'd ask for my "soul mate" to live as long as I did. You know, the woman I'm perfect for and who's perfect for me. She might not even speak the same language, but I'd like to have as much time as I needed to travel the world and find her.

Or, you know, wait for her to appear in the news when she freaks out about not aging.
yeah I think that sounds like a better Idea than future wife or since I think I know who that girl would be I'd just give the gift to the two girls Im split between that I like equally. And just because Im cool like this I'd have the spirit give the offer of the gift to 6 good friends of mine

Eternity, With a Tardis Please.
I'd be afraid of the limits of the Human brain though, Like the 12 Language limit {You can learn as many as you want it's just around 12 you get mild aphasia like symptoms} (Citation Needed)

I'd say about 150. Nice middle period, where all your friends might die, but you don't have to spend all your life agonizing over it.

Never actually wanted to live long until recently. But either way, probably around 70.

I am intrigued. Explain, please?

OT: Last week. Just to see how an all-powerful being would cope with failure.

I'd chose to live forever and die whenever I so wanted to. That way if I am bored after a couple hundred year, I could still die without technically doing suicide.

I recently read an article on Cracked which pointed out that living 'forever' simply... wouldn't be scientifically possible. Between that and the psychological trauma of knowing the exact date of my imminent death, I think I'd tell him to choose a random number, and do his thing without telling me. Or to just leave me be.

But if neither of those were a factor, I'd say forever.

So, the chick you don't choose is doomed to outlive everyone she loves for as long as she lives? Ouch.

I definitely think asking for eight other people to live as long as you is pushing it, but it couldn't hurt to ask, I guess.

I'd probably want to go around my 60's. I just fear getting too old from the complications it adds to life.

damn well when you put it that way its cruel, so instead I'd flip a coin on the spot and go with whoever came up heads or tails, since I care about them equally. Then it'd just be a matter of if the spirit would share it with the other 6 and the girl of my choosing.

Well, I find that it's short enough for you to be able to cherish each and every moment, but not so long that you ever have to repeat yourself.
