If you could create a game JUST for you, regardless if everyone else hated it, what would it be?

I would make a stealthy RPG FPS. It would feature weapons from a variety of time periods and have two different battle modes. You would be able to engage the enemy on the map, however, you could also start a battle with them and have a battle system similar to the Tales games except in first person. It would also be possible to get through the entire game without killing anyone Even bosses would be avoidable but it would be extremely difficult and if you did this you would be at a low level so if you failed to avoid someone you would have a severe disadvantage.

My game would probably be a version of The Elder Scrolls: Arena, but with Oblivion graphics (basically Oblivion expanded to include the whole of Tamriel). Also, the game would start at the beginning of time, and then keep going with new content added monthly. Basically a gigantic game that lets you play out the whole timeline of Tamriel. Also, it would have to model population growth, with like new people to interact with and get quests from every hundred or so years of game-time. Also expanded factions, especially for the Dark Brotherhood. I was pissed when I finished the Dark Brotherhood quest-line in Oblivion and found out I couldn't take contracts any more. Also, it would have more quests dealing with the actual Elder Scrolls.

So in short, I want a gigantic, bug-less, glitchless, all around superior version of Oblivion.

A strategic money management (but not micro) in which you gain money in order to fund parts for mass producing steam punk robots, then sending them to do war with other massive companies for control the world. Squad based missions with unique pilots (who have different styles of piloting) that go about until you save the world. Bonus points if you get to play the good guys and the bad guys, deciding whether or not the world is worth just saving from the badguys or if you want to go all the way.

Armored Core + Steam Punk + Dynasty Warriors Empires + Plot + A bit of Valkyria Chronicles. Try making that work.

A sex game where you fuck lots of people! While that would be funny (imagine the controversy!), I think I'd actually work on my dream game which is called MIRV. I'm trying to get working on it now, but it's a lot of work as I'm trying to make an ultra-realistic yet fun shooter with a good story. Here is the hard part, I want it to be multiplayer only with over 100 players. Very few games have net-code that could support that.

A sandbox FPS that didn't do the whole half-arsed realism thing, and actually made it ultra realistic. Now, if you've read my posts before, you'll understand that these seem to be odd words from me. but, I'm not finished.

The main quip of the game is that part way through the beginning you acquire an ability that lets you edit reality. this includes stuff like increasing all weapon damage, manipulating physics, turning the world upside-down etc. which'll be used to solve puzzles and eliminate enemies, and just mess around when free-roaming.

My game is kindof like a cross between MGS3 (even tho im not a mgs fan :p) spiderman 2, batman arkham asylum and god of war..

you play an alien whos jungle planet has been invaded by humans (think starship troopers- for the humans).. your people are humanoid, sort of nomadic who live in treehouses.. your weapon is essentially a staff that shoots harpoons.. this is used to go from tree to tree (or you can bound monkey like), or pop out and swing around decapitating humans :)

later on using human technology it could be upgraded to have a blaster.. like those staff weapons from star gate

Something entertaining. Something With lots of sharp things to kill people with, but also baked goods to enjoy. Something that would catch ones eye and never let ones attention wander. Something with menu systems that start out simple but become more intricate over time until eventually it becomes so massive and complex one would have no chance of understanding them if it started out that way. Something with enchanted Flintlocks. Something with the ability to save kittens from trees, just to throw them into wood chippers. Something with treasure. Something with a level of wonder to leave one entranced for the entire playthrough, yet frightening enough to leave mental scars. Something with a more concrete basis then what i've typed.

Well you asked.

Mine? A game with very detailed graphics, but cartoony like...say...Battlefield Heroes or TF2. You sculpt a little european-style island about a mile by mile large, and you build a lovely little village, populate it, build the farms, shops, bakers and buildings that let it all work, and create a little self-sustaining community where the food is grown, shipped to town, sold and bought and ate etc. Where every townperson has there own name, personality and stuff. See it go through all the seasons and stuff

Like a Sims or Simcity game, but on a much more detailed, smaller scale.
That also kind of sounds like Doshin the Giant on the GameCube, save for the detailed graphics.

A Mirror's Edge MMO.

fun little singleplayer game
Damn. Alright, a hilariously stylized turnbased RPG. Think of your best slow-mo kill in Fallout 3, but better and more stylized.

Mine would be a cross between ODST and Mass Effect, with a few elements from Star Wars Battlefront.

You start of as a raw marine recruit, fresh out of basic and get sent out on a tour to finish off the remaining Brute forces left after Halo 3. You'd skill-up by getting medals with each weapon, basically earning better accuracy and power, or more ammo storage. You'd also get access to various armor upgrades and customizations as your rank increases. Eventually you'd be promoted to an ODST, and get the ability to hot-drop into the midst of battle.

As you travel from planet to planet, (each one at least as big as new mombassa for playable area) you uncover a deep running plot that muddies the UNSC, as well as discovering that the remaining Halos have begun to fail ever since Master Chief blew up the Ark..

Maybe I'll add the option to play as an elite also...

I would play a game where you play as an American counter-terror CIA agent and your mission is to bring down a terrorist/crime(or drug)lord, etc. The only hitch is, it's in a country where you don't speak the language, and your translator dies a few hours in, forcing you to become more and more adept to the language in order to continue the game, as well as necessary advantages, such as missions leading to more weapons and equipment, and while those things are not necessary to beat the game, the difficulty spikes sharply without them.

It would take longer than Duke Nukem Forever to make, but I would love to play that game.

I intend on making it real actually. It would be a TES game, and I hoep to work for them and hopefully rise to a position to have enough influence to make it how I want. Ofcourse I would make it for everyone, infact some ideas ive already have are intended on settling disputes people have over things in the games, but if I were to make it "Just for me" I would not bother with those, and would make the story line directly based on the characters I make, including a "free mode" which removes the storyline sort of, so you dont end up having to be a prisoner in the cell the emperor goes through when your character is a mysterious mage from 1000 years ago.
Yay run ons! :D

A murder-mystery RPG with heavy sci-fi/fantasy elements. The player character would be a detective on a highly publicized/politicized case, and while who did it would be completely pre-scripted, the manner in which the case is investigated would either open up or close off certain avenues of storyline, along with upgrading combat in specific ways. For example, taking the classic noir method and roughing up suspects and informants would give boosts to melee combat, but could lead you on a few wild goose chases before discovering what's really going on. Likewise, proceeding with a more forensic-based investigation could yield some new discoveries early on, and give a boost to other skills, but leave you lacking in some combat abilities. The system would probably be a bit more robust than this (including access to party characters, items, locations, etc.), but that's the basic idea.

I would create a Wii game that was like a 1st or 3rd person shooter based around mages. The gameplay would consist of physical gesticulations to cast spells. Some spells would require casting, then aiming, like rays and fireballs and so forth. I would get some exercise and it would be fun.
