That's a good question. I'm going to have to think on this one a little while.
With my immediate goals in mind I came up with the following:
An intimate knowledge of digital painting techniques combining Corel Painter and CS4, in order to further my current portfolio so that I might have a greater chance of getting into the concept art industry.
Knowledge and technical skills at jazz and classical piano or electric violin. Two instruments I would love to be able to play, but lack the time to devote to learning. The fact that both of my groups of friends are musically oriented makes me feel left out on occasion.
The ability to work out probability quickly and accurately is something I've always found fascinating. I think numbers are interesting and I think an extensive knowledge of probability would at least help me kick ass at the small games of penny poker me and my buds play.
Other than that, I would love to have the skillset for base jumping and using a wingsuit in particular. It is a goal of mine to learn eventually. When I am, hopefully, a little more financially stable.
So there you have some of the skills I would want. But then again, these are all things I could learn if I put my mind to it, thus I feel I would be much more proud of these skills had I earned them through hard training. On the other hand, a skill I would not regret simply downloading rather than earning would be the ability to drive, since it is something I have neglected for the last 4 years, despite my legal abilities. It seems to be something that I am beginning to want even if in small inklings.
