Umm just 1 tiny point also, this is your universe choice, i never said you HAD to be human, you could be any of the species that live in the universe, just not a named persona already existing.
So i can still choose to be a breton, but i couldnt choose to be Martin septim, or luciene lachance, however cool that would be.
I could be a jedi, but not luke skywalker, marka ragnos etc...
Hell i could be a krogan if i wanted, just not the ones in your party or council members from the games etc, you get to be you, any race and any speciality in the universe of your choice =]

like i said either breton mage, or some random dude from the playboy mansion, i either get to play with fire all day, or get to be constantly surrounded by barely clothed hot young women, and i might get lucky in cyrodil and have a guild filled with hot young women, who knows

Also the answer of Fallout perplex me. Especially after the part in the Fallout 3 intro where the narrator says "But when they emerged, they had only the hell of the wastes to greet them".

Cuz when I see the guy outside Rivet city begging for clean water, I say to myself "Boy I wish I had to fight for survival everyday."

Don't judge the Fallout world based solely on Fallout 3...ever.

I'm going to say the Mass Effect universe.

The idea of humanity moving out amongst the stars and interacting with alien species, developing new technologies, and colonising new planets is as much an appeal to me as the actual game storyline.

As am I, nothing like some space exploration.

GTA could be fun with all the crazy radio and television shows but somebody may run me over with a car for fun.

But all that happens then is you get to wake up in hospital with less cash (thats unless you get shot in a cutscene).

I'm gonna say the Star Trek universe (next generation era) due to the whole not to much war and society seems preety stable and safe; plus holodeck the best game ever made.

If you've played Fallout 1, 2 or New Vegas you would see that humanity is actually trying to re-build civilisation and some have been quite successful.
