... seriously though, sulfur hexafluoride or liquid nitrogen. With one I could experiment with little boaty things and send them floating across the apparently empty pool. Which would be cool. The other would let me destroy things entertainingly. ex: pour water out of a bucket into the pool, and have it freeze and shatter against the bottom of the pool.

Worse idea: thermite! Then stand back with a gas mask inside of a bomb bunker and watch as several tons of thermite ignites in a self-oxidizing inextinguishable massive inferno twice the temperature of molten lava.
