If you could have an Item/Ability from a game, what would it be?

Either Cole MacGrath's or Alex Mercer's powers. I'd take either, with preference being towards Cole's, because shooting people with lightning would be fun.
Pause menu. Comprehensive options, graphics customization, the good stuff. And some people need a good muting.
Infinite inventory/portal gun (I know, it's been said a hundred times, but there's a reason for that).

the portal gun or the hookshot from zelda....as for ability...hmm...the borderlands ability to continually generate bullets from thin air

After stealing power when Soul Egde and Soul Calibur clashed, the long dead hero king Algol was given that ability to recreate himself via memory. Using his memories he forged versions of the holy and cursed sword for his use and the Tower of Remembrance.
Think of it, the ability to create anything that you can remember? Priceless.

Well, the ability that I choose has to be able to make me money in some way; or else what's the point? Assuming I can't reverse engineer whatever it is, I think I would go with the portal gun. We're talking about a device that can instantly link two areas together. We could use that gun to colonize Mars, saving billions of dollars in space shuttle trips.
On the other hand, some kind of healing spell, similar to the Medic in Team Fortress 2, would also be very useful. Imagine, somebody could be in a hostpital dying of cancer, and with a spray of that beam everything is cool.
