teleporters, hoverbikes, exploding collars, space ships, robots, sentient computers, the list goes on. So tell me escapist, what sci fi device would want?

I for one would like an infinite improbability drive

Aside from the obvious Lightsaber, I could go for one of those Tricorders from Star Trek. They seem pretty handy.

A portable teleporter.

That is always something that I wanted to have.

That you can go where you want without the boundries of car or the time consumption of planes.

I wouldn't want to end up as yarn, thank you. I'd go with Sir-Tdb's idea of the portable teleporter.

I would go with the portal gun, but.. hmm... probably Isaac Clarke's (Dead Space) Stasis Module.

An Omnitool from Mass Effect. A miniature hand-held factory capable of sorting any material inserted into raw materials, which can then be used to create almost anything.

A holodeck would be nice.

Provided all it's safety programming was up to date.
Its designed by Microsoft!, gotta dowload a patch first!

I chose the Spice, firstly because its a drug, woot.
Secondly, I get to say "I must not fear, fear is the mid killer, fear is the little death that brings total oblivion.
