Any two? Black Isle and Ion Storm (the good one).
You mean Ion Storm Austin?
Yes, yes I do. Couldn't remember which it was.

How the hell Bioware is still around and Black Isle is gone is beyond me.
Oh, that's an easy one. Black Isle were part of InterPlay whereas Bioware sued InterPlay (for unauthorised sublicencing of Bioware's engine).
More of a rhetorical question I guess, I know what actually happened to the studio.

Pre-MW2 Infinity Ward and Rockstar

Think about this.

A First-person open-world crime game with what seems like an unlimited selection of weapons and attachments with a level up mechanic.

Shit would be so cash.

Grrrrr.....

I'd say the same thing, but for different reasons. Bioware focuses on a deep central story (ME1 and 2, Dragon Age, KotOR) while Bethesda focuses on millions of side quests (Fallout, Oblivion). I always wanted the side quests to not only carry over into the next game (Bioware) but have more depth. If Bioware helped Bethesda develop the side quests, main story, and connectivity of side quests, that would be a kickass game.
that's pretty decent combo.... pretty good idea actually.

To be honest, that wouldn't be bad at all....

I would either have Nintendo and BioWare make a Dragon Age-type Zelda RPG, or Nintendo and Blizzard make an (actually licensed) Pokemon MMO.

I would have said Bioware and Bethesda, but that's been used. So as a shocker, Bioware and Obsidian. That way the two can come together (preferably after Dragon Age 2 is released) and make a proper sequel to KOTOR 2! I'm not saying KOTOR 2 was bad, I mean that way they can come together and incorporate the best ideas from both games. Plus, Obsidian seems to do a good job of making great things better. Coming up with different ideas for New Vegas (like making companions get knocked unconscious or the Hardcore mode) after reviewing Fallout 3 for some time. So, between Bioware making an awesome game with the help of Obsidian, and then making some new revisions to test. And to get back to the part, "preferably after Dragon Age 2 is released," i say that because I am anxious to see how the real-time, fast paced combat plays out. If it is successful, imagine how amazing KOTOR would be with faster paced lightsaber duels and using force powers at any given time! It would make it way more intense! But it would still be necessary to include the turn based combat also to keep hardcore fans happy. Best of both worlds if you think about it: action packed combat draw new people to the franchise and turn based will please the old school fans!

Well, there's already a Phoenix Wright/Professor Layton crossover being made, so I can't think of anything.

Valve and Bethesda.

It'd be a first person zombie "shooter". It would have a ton of different set pieces and from them generate a random area depending on the parameters of your choosing. You could do a small, medium or large map, in a city, small town, rural countryside etc. Each map would be unique, composed of about a thousand different set pieces. Each map would have a predefined goal as set in the creation options, ranging from "get from point x to point y" to "survive for x days" or "kill x amount of zombies". There would be a heavy emphasis on scavenging, with firearms being very limited. Zombies would be numerous, and depending on your settings you could have it range from sparse to heavy population. They would be slow and require head injury to die, and they would grab the player if they got close enough. There would be a crafting component, allowing you to make improvised weapons from things you found. Food and water requirements would be toggle-able. Day/night cycles would be present. Multiplayer would be possible, with full friendly fire to allow for people to band together or fight eachother for survival. In multiplayer, items wouldn't increase, causing rations to be even more scarse.

Basically, a fully customizable zombie survival game with an emphasis on scavenging for food, weapons and medicine. Holy fuck I'd play that game.

Pfft, that's child's play.

A collaborative effort between Obsidian Entertainment and Wisdom Tree to make an RPG/RTS hybrid based on the Old Testament.

Valve and Blizzard. Sure, the game would be great, but that would only be after it comes out shortly before the sun expands to the point that it swallows the earth.

Splash in some Zynga to either to send you some spam while driving your obsession over repetitive games and using your personal information. I foresee awful, evil games.
