The idea of having a kipper that can cut through anything doesn't appeal to you...
Ok, I'll admit that is an absolutely brilliant idea :D But I mean, never mind all fiction, it still isn't the best thing in its own universe. The Ka'kari would still top some sort of all-cutting fish. Nice image though, wading into battle with a kipper held proudly over your head :p

A System Class GSV. Eighty or so kilometres of spaceship, capable of creating more spaceships, controlled by a hyper intelligent AI. What? It would lead the way into a much better society... Well at least I think it would anyway.
I was going for the Plate Class GSV. Same reasons though.
Damn you guys think big!
I started out with a Knife missile, then an AI Drone Companion,
got as far as nice aggressive ROU Ship but Plates and GSV's...Nice!
that's like having a full(large!) slice of the Culture.

A lifetime's supply of NZT-48 from Limitless. Become a charismatic, completely aware, hyper-intelligent person who can absorb knowledge from the smallest of interactions, just by taking a pill a day? Sounds good to me.

Portal Gun, no questions asked. I know there are more powerful ways to bop around the world in (TARDIS is choice no. 2) but what other device will give me a door to anywhere AND let me suck myself off?

The Grand Grimoire from Final Fantasy Tactics Advance.

The ability to transform the world into anything I want? Yes please.

And if I can't just take our world as it is now, and make it free of corruption...Then I guess I'll just Ivalice, and make it as awesome and incorruptible as possible.

And if I succeed at making a world that isn't crooked, then I will use the Grimore to make myself forget that I have it, so that I won't be tempted to abuse it.

Tony Stark's wallet. Seriously, I really, really, want his credit card. Then I could buy everything he owns, cars, HOUSE, AI, Iron Man armour, and I'd get Tony to make me stuff that's awesome.

Ah, crap, I forgot about that! That was a good movie, except the opening shot of that ridiculous zoom thing, which fucked with my head.

So, yeah, that. Also, a TARDIS.

I was kinda thinking of a power ring from Green Lantern, I mean, I am sure my imagination might be slightly better than what has been portrayed...although the yellow could get obnoxious... how about the Intersect from Chuck? Yeah, I could go for that.

I just spent the last several hours looking through tvtropes to see if there was a mention of something that gives you more than three wishes, because I didn't think three wishes was enough.

I suppose I could just say d&d, because one probably exists. There's definitely a ring of unlimited wishes in some sourcebook or other.

Anyway, besides that (wish-granting items in general are kind of a cop-out) there are of course a lot of other tempting choices:

- The Pick Of Destiny (already mentioned in the thread, I don't even know if it has actual powers besides being awesome, but you know that we'll be rocking cause it's fuckin insane.)

- The briefcase from Pulp Fiction - also saw this in the thread and though "Damn. I want that." despite the lack of actual world-changing power.

- An ACU from Supreme Commander. In Supreme Commander, the crazy-fast build times of your typical rts are actually justified in-universe because of the advanced nanotech they have, so this thing is a 20-metre-tall giant robot that also happens to be able to build an army in a couple of hours.

- The recipe for the Grand Panacea, from Baccano!, because immortality.

- The magic ticket from Last Action Hero.

Then of course, there's about an infinite number of spaceships, time machines, and time-travelling spaceships that I could mention, out of which I will grudgingly have to be unoriginal and say "TARDIS", because on top of being a time machine and a spaceship, it's crazy-huge as well, and I'm not sure if anything can top that combo, o matter how badass an Overlord Dropship might be.

Haha, my girlfriend bought me the wallet as a present, so that is done. Unless you mean the actual movie prop one??
Either would do. Having said that, the actual prop one would be awesome. Some of Samuel L. Jackson's badassery has to rub off onto me xD.

Naw, well aren't you sweet. But would you be willing to do with my pet Carnifex is the question.
Is it this one? [http://i638.photobucket.com/albums/uu110/Kharrak/1221331015840.jpg] Yes anyway as long as it doesn't tear me in half :p.

Damn you, I knew what I wanted before you said that. Now I'm torn between two.

Think I'll be original and say the black ka'kari from the Night Angel trilogy :)

The Black Ka'kar-

Son of a gun!

Just think of all the clothes you'd go through... Though I have always fancied having a soured, sarcastic voice to my conscience. Better hope no-one wished for Curoch though....

Ninja'd. I think you guys forget though that the people closet to you die in order to keep you living. So thats a pretty bad trade off.

For the sake of chosing something from another piece of fiction I choose to be a Prisim. Cookies to anyone who knows what that is and were its from. But I do kinda want the RedKa'kari. Power over fire.. Score.
